Amazon’s LOVEFiLM Expands Content with ITV and BBC Worldwide Deals

Amazon announced today that LOVEFilm had struck a deals with ITV and BBC Worldwide to delivery new content to it’s subscribers.

SEATTLE, Jan 06, 2012 (BUSINESS WIRE) –LOVEFiLM, an Amazon (Nasdaq:AMZN) company, has partnered with ITV to enable its members to instantly watch TV titles from the UK’s largest commercial broadcaster.

The subscription video on-demand (SVOD) agreement will give LOVEFiLM members access to ITV’s vast archive of shows, including a selection of recent popular content such as Marchlands and Above Suspicion, as well as classic crime series Prime Suspect and Inspector Morse and much loved British dramas such as Cold Feet and Secret Diary of a Call Girl.

The renewed deal with ITV will add further premium TV content to the LOVEFiLM Instant service – Europe’s leading TV and movie subscription streaming service available on a range of internet-connected devices including the PC, Sony PlayStation(R)3, Apple iPad, web-enabled TV sets and Blu-ray players and Microsoft Xbox 360 – and strengthen its existing offering of ITV programmes.

LOVEFiLM Instant gives members immediate access to TV and movie content from major broadcasters and studios including Entertainment One, Disney, Lionsgate, Momentum, STUDIOCANAL, Warner Bros. and BBC Worldwide direct to their living rooms.
