Synology have just released a DSM (Disk Station Manager) 3.2 update for it’s USB Station 2 devices, which includes support for Mac OS X Lion.
USB Station 2 is designed to provide a cost-effective solution for USB storage sharing, multimedia center, and print server for home and small workgroup. The operating system, Synology DiskStation Manager, delivers rich features for multimedia enjoyments, Internet file sharing, budget print server, and energy-saving options.
This new update offers new support for Mac OS® X Lion, CalDAV, Google Cloud Print, and UPnP routers along with additional enhancements to Download Station and File Browser.
USB Station 2 offers Mac-friendly solution that includes Mac OS X Lion support to provide a reliable backup destination with Time Machine®, and functions as a calendar server where synchronization to CalDAV clients of iCal in Mac OS X, iPhone®, iPad®, and Mozilla Sunbird® becomes effortless.
USB Station 2 now supports Google Cloud Print, allowing users to print documents remotely through their mobile devices without the need of driver installation. In addition, USB Station 2 recognizes UPnP compatible routers with just one-click setup under EZ-Internet wizard. DSM 3.2 extends the versatility of USB Station 2 with Download Station supporting the most popular file hosting sites and File Browser featuring fast drag-n-drop file upload.
