Today Synology launched their new DiskStation DS411 4-bay NAS device.

The DS411 is an all-in-one server with optimal price/performance ratio for home and business workgroup. It is a 4-bay NAS server which can store up for 12TB of data.

It has an average 1-5.3MB/sec reading speed and 47.8MB/sec writing speed under a RAID 5 configuration.

Running on DiskStation Manager (DSM) operating system, it delivers ease of use and variety of features.

Synology aims to provide a flexible and secure solution to boost data management protection. The automatic RAID management adopting Synology Hybrid RAID (SHR) optimizes disk capacities. The DS411 is equipped with various data security mechanisms, including comprehensive Window® ACL support, shared folder privilege, HTTPS secure connection, FTP over SSL, etc. The DS411 is also secured by firewall, IP auto-block, and enforced password strength to prevent hacking. Topped with 256-bit AES hardware encryption engine, the DS411 is a true data safe box.
