I loaded this application up on my ASUS EP-121 Windows 7 tablet and it installed and ran fine. I then decided to graph the formula for Mass- Energy Equivalence, E = m c^2, where m=mass, and c=speed of light in a vacuum. Here is the resultant PNG of the graph generated:
It was very easy to generate the formula and the graph. This formula was built in, but there is also a formula building area to allow you to enter your own. I made this formula up and entered it into the formula builder as such:
After clicking on Enter, Mathematics solved the equation.
Very cool!
There is also a download that allows you to add a formula builder to Word and OneNote, very useful if creating a lesson for math. You can get that here.
It turns out that this is only one of many teacher’s assistance materials that Microsoft has put out. Check out the whole collection here.
If you are a math teacher, or if you have a math student in the home, this could be a useful educational tool What do you think?
