Treat yourself to a richer, more satisfying workout soundtrack with the latest wearable Sports Walkman from Sony – whatever the weather.
Designed for active lifestyles, the Sports Walkman (NWZ-W260 series) is wire-free and resists both rain and the sweat of a gruelling workout. 25% lighter than its predecessor and featuring an even more comfortable fit, the all-in-one Sports Walkman is perfect for sports and active lifestyles. Wear it in the gym, while you’re jogging outdoors, or even during that post-workout shower*.
Using the supplied Content Transfer software that comes with your Sports Walkman, it’s easy to move music files straight from your PC or iTunes™ library (not including DRM files). Just drag and drop files into Content Transfer.
ZAPPIN™ song search technology lets you browse quickly through all your music, previewing a bit of each track without fiddly searches through menus or playlists.
Available in gloss white and black finishes, the light all-in-one design eliminates the tangle of headphone wires that can slow things down when you’re working out, running or dancing. The 13.5mm EX Series earphones offer clear sound and come with silicon buds in three different sizes for a secure fit.
A quick 3-minute charge provides enough power for 60 minutes of listening time. A fully charged battery offers up to 8 hours* of uninterrupted listening time – more than any workout, no matter how extreme.
To coincide with the launch of the new Sports Walkman, Sony is sponsoring sprint athlete Marlon Devonish, who will be looking to represent Great Britain at the 2012 Olympic Games in London. Having earned an Olympic gold medal for the 4x100m relay at Athens in 2004, Devonish will be aiming to compete in the 100m, 200m and 4x100m relay in London 2012.
Devonish is the first person in the UK to test out the new Sports Walkman, which he wears while in his training sessions in the run-up to the 2012 Games. Devonish comments, “The Sports Walkman keeps me going through all of my workouts in preparation for the 2012 Olympic Games. The sound is amazingly clear and helps get me ‘in the zone’ when I’m training, and I love that it’s both wireless and water-resistant so I never interrupt a training session.”
The new Sports Walkman NWZ-W260 series MP3 player is available from the end of July 2011.
