Tim Black AKA Vinylfreak brought his HTPC, built into a case meant to resemble an antique radio.  Very cool build.

Here’s Bryan Auer AKA yodafett walking some people through his WHS2011 build.  Bryan actually carried his server onto the airplane from Dallas!

Here’s Jim Collison demoing a Drobo unit similar to the one won by Andne, hooked up to a WHS2011 build.  That’s Andne in the green T-shirt.  Jim packed more computer gear into his Honda Civic than I’ve ever seen fit into one before.

Here’s Dave and Jim podcasting together.  Most of that equipment ended up in Jim’s Civic!

Abletech demonstrated the add-in P-80 on his cell phone, and I was demoing the remote access capabilities of my EX475 running HP Version 3 software, as well as my EP-121 tablet.  Dave and Jim had multiple home-builds there running WHS2011 as well.  And our own Andrew Edney was present in the live chat, talking up the new HP netbook that he convinced Jim Collison to buy recently.

Overall, the meetup was a success.  Thanks go out to Mario from Drobo for providing a giveaway unit, paying for the meeting room and food and for the demo video that he played for the room.

Dave tells me that he plans to make this an annual event.  You should plan on coming out!
