I just got finished with a 7:00 AM tour of the Intel booth. Each year Intel shows their CPUs in the latest and greatest products and this year is no exception. Intel showed its support of Home Servers at CES 2011 by having a display with various units and demonstrations. Read on to see a few of the early pictures of the Home Server display at Intel CES 2011.
Intel CES 2011
The Home Server display at Intel was in a corner but still had a presence in their very large booth. The picture below shows just three displays out of the 25 or so that Intel has in their booth. Can you still call it a booth if it is 80 feet by 80 feet?
Standing in the tour line I could see Netgear NAS boxes on top and Home Server units underneath. I miss you HP. Seriously.
All of the units were hooked up by tour time and they were using the Netgear when I walked up.
The had a beautiful older model LG (new model) with Blu-Ray.
They also had a QNAP and an ASUS Home Server.
The tour started two hours before the show but once they got monitors set up and connected it was a nice and stable display. They have two full time Intel employees talking to attendees about Home Server solutions. Sweet. spread the word my Intel friends!
Again, thank you to Intel to for showing support of such a great product!
I am off to Microsoft now to see what they have for VAIL.
We will be bringing you more specs and a demo or two at the booth in the coming days.
Tim
Good work andrew. See you shortly
Hi Tim, i saw that. whats with the little corner job i walked up and said to the tech
wheres the love he laughed.half of them were NAS to boot.
Intel, boring, get to the Silicon Dust booth! 🙂 I hear rumors of a 6 tuner unit!
I know that late yesterday Tim was at the Silicon Dust booth and he is going back today – the hard part is finding a few minutes, and a working wireless signal to actually post something 🙂 We will, don't worry!
Thank you! Appreciate your efforts!
