So to upgrade my server software, I need to find a way to back up 4tb of media? No thanks.
Karl
Why would you need to back up your data?
This is a server reinstallation – your data REMAINS complete and safe. You just need to recreate the user accounts and reinstall any add-ins. The data isnt touched.

Just received my update disc's but when I insert the server recovery disc all I get is an option to restore a pc that is currently backed up on the server…. Am I just slow or did I miss something? I read the manual you provided the link to…
Update: Yup, just slow… I should actually look at the discs I'm putting in the drive 🙂
🙂
glad its ok now.
let us know how you get on….

I installed an HP Mediacenter Home Server over a year ago and installed my first computer. I'd now like to install more computers (XP, Vista, Microsoft 7) and I can't find the CD-ROM with the software. Is there a place I can go to get the software for these other computers?
Hi Rand
The software is stored on your WHS.
Open the shared folders, software and you will see it there.
