Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment today announced the launch of Gotham City Impostors, an original, download only, multiplayer first-person shooter from Monolith Productions for the Xbox 360video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation3 computer entertainment system and Windows PC.
Gotham City Impostors allows up to 12 players to battle for control of an unhinged Gotham City overrun by Impostors inspired by the DC Comics characters Batman and The Joker. The game can be purchased for 1200 Microsoft Points in the Xbox LIVE® Marketplace for Xbox 360, and for 11.99 in the PlayStation®Network, as well as for PC via the Games for Windows LIVE Marketplace, Steam®, Origin, and other leading digital resellers.
Gotham City with a Twisted Sense of Humor – Gotham City Impostors is based on a concept from the DC Universe set in an unhinged Gotham City in which players create their own Impostor based on Batman or The Joker

Players can engage in deliriously fast paced, uniquely vertical, and completely unconventional urban warfare where progress supports leveling up and access to a mind-boggling array of customization options. Unlock new Bats or Jokerz costumes and build your own specific loadout from a huge assortment of traditional and homebrew weaponry, equipment, and perks. Gadgets such as the Glider Rig, Grappling Hook, and Spring Boots give gamers unprecedented mobility options, while support items like the Bear Traps, Boomerang, and Body Armor open up new tactical options.
The game features five maps and four modes inspired by DC Comics’ Batman license. The maps include Crime Alley, Amusement Mile, Ace Chemical, The Docks and Gotham Power. Gamers can choose from several gameplay modes – Team Deathmatch, Fumigation or Psych Warfare modes – and engage in all-out combat, or they can choose the Challenges mode, a single-player mode that allows players to safely explore the different maps and practice using different weapons, support items and gadgets.
A free downloadable content pack will be available in March. It will include a new “25th Floor” map, as well as over 100 new customization options including weapons, support items, costumes and calling card elements.
The cost is 1200 Microsoft Points for the Xbox 360 version and £11.99 on PSN and Windows.
