TALES OF XILLIA 2 Announced for Europe and Australasia for PS3

NAMCO BANDAI Games Europe S.A.S. announced during a special event at the Japan Expo in Paris that TALES OF XILLIA 2 will be coming to Europe and Australasia exclusively for the PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system in 2014. Building on the foundation of 2013’s TALES OF XILLIA gameplay and world, TALES OF XILLIA 2 will bring together brand new characters in this epic multiple dimensions spanning Japanese role-playing game experience.

TALES OF XILLIA 2 focuses on the events a year after the climactic end of TALES OF XILLIA. Players assume the role of Ludger Kresnik, a young man with a zest of cooking who lives with his older brother and his cat, named Rollo. On his way to his first day at work for a local cafeteria he runs into a young girl named Elle Marta and the two soon become involved in an accident that will change both of their lives forever.

TALES OF XILLIA 2 focuses its story theme around the concept of “choice”, which is also expressed heavily in the game’s overall gameplay mechanics. Throughout Ludger’s journey the player will be able to decide how he reacts to various characters and situations. These choices can cause the story to branch out into different paths depending on the player’s decisions.

Choice also extends to the battle system for TALES OF XILLIA 2 by enhancing the TALES OF series’ trademark gameplay. Players will be able to initiate “Weapon Swap” in real-time during battles while controlling Ludger, allowing him to switch between three main weapons: dual blades, a sledgehammer and dual pistols, allowing for fast and strategic movements as he rushes across the battlefield. Building on the base from TALES OF XILLIA’s battle system, the new Cross Dual Raid Linear Motion Battle System will let players link to any selectable character in battle to serve as a support character and perform linked artes against targeted enemies. Different party members have different support characteristics and linked artes, allowing players to strategically decide which characters are linked to whom as various battle situations arise.

Players who have a save game file from both TALES OF GRACES f and the upcoming TALES OF XILLIA will be able to enjoy exclusive bonus items for TALES OF XILLIA 2.

TALES OF XILLIA will be available exclusively for the PlayStation®3 system on August 9^th, 2013 in Europe and Australasia. TALES OF XILLIA 2 will be available across Europe and Australasia in 2014.

NOW TV, the internet TV service powered by Sky, is now available on PlayStation 3. NOW TV offers instant access to Sky Movies and all six Sky Sports channels with no contract, set-up costs or installation. From today users will be able to connect their PS3 to their TV and home WiFi network, to watch NOW TV on their main TV, as well as continue to watch them out and about through their smartphone, tablet or laptop.

NOW TV recently introduced a £9.99 Sky Sports Day pass which enables customers to enjoy the biggest year of Sport in 2013 including exclusive live matches from the Barclays Premier League and UEFA Champions League, all 19 Grands Prix from the Formula 1 season– as well as qualifying and practice sessions, exclusive coverage of the British & Irish Lions 2013 Tour of Australia , all 10 Ashes Test matches from home and away, exclusively live – as well as all one-day internationals and Twenty20 internationals , three of golf’s four Majors – including The Masters and exclusive ATP tennis, including the ATP finals from The O2.

This is in addition to the hundreds of movies that can be instantly accessed from Sky Movies – the UK’s most popular subscription service, including blockbuster releases around six months after they have ended their run in cinemas. Each month, customers can enjoy access to up to 20 new premieres –at least 12 months before they become available on Netflix or LOVEFiLM Instant. Customers can sign up on a monthly basis and new customers can take advantage of a free 30 day trial of the service, plus also benefit from a three-month introductory offer of £8.99 a month.

It is now known that Honedge comes into being when a departed spirit possesses a sword that once belonged to humans. It can use the blue cloth attached to its hilt as nimbly as an arm.

Pokémon Trainers who carelessly take this blade in hand may find the blue cloth wrapping itself around them and draining their energy! Honedge can learn the attack Swords Dance, a Normal-type move. Swords Dance is a frenetic dance that uplifts the fighting spirit and sharply raises the user’s Attack stat. NAMCO BANDAI Games and indiePub Entertainment, Inc. has announced that Capsized is now available for download on Xbox Live Arcade for the Xbox 360 and will also be available through the PlayStation Store for the PlayStation 3 later this summer.

Capsized is a fast-paced 2D action platformer set in an immersive alien world teeming with bizarre life forms and strange landscapes presented in a unique hand-drawn art style. In Capsized, your ship crash lands on a mysterious alien planet and you must navigate through perilous environments and fight blood-thirsty creatures to save your crewmates and escape with your lives. Using a grappling hook, jetpack and ship supplies, you fight through hostile landscapes to save fellow shipmates from the planet’s Tribal creatures. Capsized combines control elements of first-person shooters with innovative physics-based combat and nods to classic platform games. It has more than a dozen non-linear levels with multiple modes. The Xbox Live version of Capsized also includes three exclusive level and online multiplayer, online multiplayer co-op mode.

I have the 2012 Samsung ES8000 LCD TV and as I wanted the 2013 experience I purchased the Samsung Evolution Kit to upgrade it, and here is how I got on.

By simply attaching the Evolution Kit device into the back of a Samsung Smart TV, consumers can enjoy the latest features that the 2013 Smart TVs have to offer without the expense of buying a 2013 TV.

With hardware enhancements, such as CPU, memory and GPU up to the level of the latest Smart TV, users can enjoy faster speeds for browsing the Internet and multitask by using apps while watching TV.

In addition, Samsung’s Smart Interaction features such as voice control and motion control will be enhanced. Once the Evolution Kit is attached to the slot, 2012 Smart Hub is transformed to 2013 version.

The Evolution Kit fits neatly onto the back of the TV and connects via a single cable.

There is a new remote control too:

The whole process took around 2 hours, which included updating the 2012 firmware before starting the installation and configuration process (watch the video to see what I mean).

My Movies Home and Essentials Server Solution 2.14 PR 3 released

My Movies for Windows Home Server 2011 has been renamed to My Movies Home and Essentials Server Solution, as it now supports both Windows Home Server 2011 and Windows Server 2012 Essentials and version 2.14 PR 3 has been released.

My Movies Home and Essentials Server Solution 2.14 PR 3 change log:

Added: Remote Bridge option, where a My Movies server can act as bridge between our mobile applications and Dune players, allowing for Event Handlers to catch power, play and volume events.

Added: Build-in event handlers for Onkyo, Denon, Sony and Philips TVs for volume control when acting as bridge for Dune players.

Change: Event Handlers are changed to support bridge option, which requires people who created Event Handlers to update their code. Updated source code is available in our user customization forum area. Event Handlers are now shared between our Home and Essentials software and our Collection Management and Windows Media Center software.
