LaCie have now entered the Windows Home Server market with their 5big Backup Server, but it isn’t cheap and it’s not really aimed at the home user.

Not a company to sit around, even during the holidays, Synology today announced the launch of their new high performance DiskStation NAS server, the DS1511+, which is aimed squarely at the small and medium sized business.

This week Synology announced the launch of their next NAS server – the DiskStation DS211+. And this one is aimed at the small business.
