Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes has been announced by Disney Interactive Studios developed by Avalanche Software. The new game will introduce Marvel characters, locations and vehicles to the Disney Infinity universe.
The game features characters such as Thor, Iron Man, Captain America, Incredible Hulk, Hawkeye and Black Widow. At least a dozen additional characters and toys will be announced prior to launch.
Disney Infinity Marvel Super Heroes will be available for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4, Wii U, PC and iOS. (yes there won’t be a Wii version of the new game) coming this fall 2014.
New environments include Manhattan, which is four times the size of The Incredibles‘ play set.
All of the figures, power discs, bases and saved Toy Boxes from the original Disney Infinity 1.0 will be compatible with the upcoming sequel.
Toy Box mode will contain an option to procedurally generate game worlds, and will also ship with predefined game modes, including tower defence.

Marvel characters will have unique powers and combat abilities, allowing them to better navigate the world and fight enemies.
The news was announced by Disney Interactive president Jimmy Pitaro and Marvel chief creative officer Joe Quesada at an event in California.
During the event, Disney confirmed that it has sold more than 3 million Disney Infinity starter packs, generating roughly $500 million.
Disney’s Jimmy Pitaro also said that the original Disney Infinity had outperformed its rivals in terms of revenue.
