First Look at Game of Thrones-Episode Two: “The Lost Lords”

Game of Thrones-Episode Two: “The Lost Lords,” the second episode in the game series, will be available 3rd February on PC and Mac from the Telltale Online Store, Steam, and other digital distribution services, and on the PlayStation Network for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3. 

The episode will be available on 4th February on the Xbox Games Store for Xbox One and Xbox 360. The series will also be coming to compatible iOS devices via the App Store on Thursday, February 5th and to compatible Android-based devices. 

 Game of Thrones

The game series is based on the world, characters and events seen in HBO’s TV show, which in turn is based on George R. R. Martin’s books (A Song of Ice and Fire). The events in the game series begin towards the end of Season Three of the series, and end right before the beginning of Season Five. Players will visit familiar locations such as King’s Landing and The Wall, as well as unfamiliar locations such as Ironrath, the home of House Forrester.

House Forrester is a noble house from the Wolfswood in the north of Westeros. Bannermen to House Glover, they have always offered unswerving loyalty to the ruling great house of the North – the Starks. The Forresters are seated at Ironrath, an imposing stronghold surrounded by towering ironwood trees. Built over fifteen hundred years ago by Cedric Forrester and his triplet sons, Ironrath is a testament to the strength and endurance of ironwood. The Forrester house words are ‘Iron from Ice’, which echoes their belief that – like the ironwood itself – the adverse conditions and unforgiving landscape of the North only makes them stronger.

The game will be played from five different points of view. Each is a member of House Forrester; either a direct family member, or a person in service to the House. Scattered across Westeros and Essos, each will play their part in seeking to save House Forrester from destruction.

Playing as five characters not only reflects the epic scope of Game of Thrones, but is also something that the player needs to be mindful of. This is because the actions of one character can ripple out to affect the rest of House Forrester. Multiply the actions of one character by five, and you’re truly playing the Game of Thrones… where you win, or you die.

APB Reloaded coming to PlayStation4 and Xbox One

Deep Silver, Reloaded Games and The Workshop Entertainment today jointly announce they are hard at work transforming the hit PC Free2Play Action MMO “All Points Bulletin: Reloaded” into a game destined for the PS4 and Xbox One.

Currently in development by industry-veteran led studio The Workshop Entertainment in Marina Del Ray, CA, with support from Reloaded Games’ teams in Edinburgh and Huntington Beach, and published by Deep Silver, APB Reloaded’s console edition is expected to launch in late Q2 2015. On its release the game will be free to play and freely downloadable for all owners of PlayStation 4, and for Xbox Live Gold members on Xbox One.

APB Reloaded puts you in the near-future urban cityscape of San Paro where you pick one of two factions: “Enforcer,” to uphold the city’s martial law, or “Criminal” to cause maximum mayhem across the city. In addition to its challenging and immersive gameplay, APB Reloaded features one of the best and most extensive character and vehicle customization systems available in any modern MMO. The game is driven by PvP experiences where up to 100 customized players (up to 50 vs. 50) can participate in real time missions across San Paro.

The PC version of APB Reloaded has been installed and played by over 5 million PC gamers since its December 2011 release.

Arion Sherwind and his famous footballing team mates are back in a new adventure, but all is not as it should be at Raimon Junior High. Arion finds himself in a world devoid of football and must unravel its mysterious disappearance and restore its place in the world. Travel  through time and create the ultimate eleven to bring football back in Inazuma Eleven GO Chrono Stones: Wildfire and Inazuma Eleven GO Chrono Stones: Thunderflash, launching for Nintendo 3DS and 2DS systems, in stores and on Nintendo eShop, on 27th March.

The story kicks off with Arion Sherwind shocked to discover that the legendary football exploits of Raimon Junior High are suddenly unknown. Where mighty football stadiums once stood, now lie baseball fields. Kids who once kicked a ball in the street now instead busy themselves with basketball, gymnastics, music and calligraphy. In a parallel world where football has ceased to exist, Arion must discover what has happened to the ‘beautiful game’, tackle the shadowy intentions of El Dorado – the World’s governing council – and face off against time-bending villains in order to restore football to the world.

The Fighting Spirit system – where players can summon powerful entities that unleash special moves and greatly increase player stats to aid them during matches – returns and is better than ever, now that players are able to ‘armourfy’ Fighting Spirits. The armourfied Fighting Spirit surrounds the player’s body like a suit of armour and, while armourfied, all of the character’s abilities are greatly improved, and special moves become even more powerful.

The Inazuma series’ hallmark of providing exclusive content unique to each version returns, including different story events, characters, items and in-game cinematics exclusive to each title. As with previous instalments it is again possible for up to four people to play matches together over local wireless and, last but not least, from launch more characters and items will be available for download, enabling players to create an even stronger team.

Yesterday Microsoft showed off there Virtual reality goggles, and how Microsoft is setting up for it. The Windows Holographic was revealed at the Windows 10 media briefing.

The experience, which involves a large headset called the Microsoft HoloLens, which works by overlaying images onto the world around you. It’s a holographic computer that will features see-through lenses, spacial sound, advanced sensors, and advanced CPU and GPU, along with a third holographic processor (HPU) to see the world around it in real-time.

The headset works wirelessly, and without the need for a PC hooked up or smartphone connection to the device. Users appear to be able to interact with holographic projections without the need for haptic feedback gloves or motion sensing devices like the Kinect.

With multiple business and learning applications, with games like Minecraft (owned by Microsoft) were highlighted in the demonstration video.

The demonstrators also mention that video game levels will be more immersive than ever. All Windows 10 apps will work with Holographic, so Microsoft invites developers like Oculus, Magic Leap, and Glass to join in. Windows Holographic and the HoloLens is expected to launch in the Windows 10 timeframe

Today Microsoft revealed a lot of information about Windows 10.

Xbox on Windows 10 lets gamers and developers access the best of the expansive Xbox Live gaming network on both Windows 10 PCs and Xbox One. Players can capture, edit and share their greatest gaming moments with Game DVR, and play new games with friends across devices, connecting millions of gamers around the world. Games developed for the new DirectX 12 application programming interface in Windows 10 will see improvements in speed, efficiency and graphics capability. Players will also be able to play games on their PC, streamed directly from their Xbox One consoles to their Windows 10 tablets or PCs, within their home.

This is certainly something to get excited about!

Microsoft also said that Windows 10 will be a free upgrade for any Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 owners in the first year.

Bethesda Softworks, today announced that its long awaited, multiplayer roleplaying game, The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited, will release worldwide on 9th June, for the PlayStation 4  and Xbox One.

For the first time in history, players will explore the legendary world of Tamriel with their friends on console. In the latest and biggest Elder Scrolls game ever made, players will be able to adventure alone, quest with friends, or join an army of hundreds in epic player vs. player battles as they explore and discover the secrets of a persistent Tamriel.

We are also pleased to announce that The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited players will no longer be required to pay a monthly game subscription for extended play. Players will make a one-time purchase of the game and can then enjoy hundreds of hours of content without the requirement of a monthly game subscription fee when The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited becomes available on console in June and beginning 17th March for PC/Mac players.

The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited includes all the great gameplay from the original PC/Mac game, plus all the updates and content additions, including the exciting new Justice and Champion systems.  All existing PC/Mac game accounts, open or closed, will be updated to the Tamriel Unlimited edition in March and former players will be invited back to the game at that time to experience all that is new in the world.

New players will make a one-time purchase of the game and play, without restrictions, for as long as they like without game subscription fees. Tamriel Unlimited will be supported with special, optional downloadable content available for purchase and an in-game Crown Store for convenience and customization items.
