Rockstar have announced a special edition and a collectors edition of Grand Theft Auto V.

The Grand Theft Auto V Special Edition includes:

Full retail copy of Grand Theft Auto V

Collectible SteelBook with Exclusive Artwork
This special SteelBook features double-sided, never-before-seen artwork of Michael, Trevor and Franklin. Custom color and metallic treatments bring out the detail of the artwork created exclusively for this SteelBook.

Blueprint Map
This exclusive, additional 21.5” x 26.75” map displays a blueprint view of Los Santos and Blaine County. Cryptic markings indicate locations for fast cash and other points of interest for the up-and-coming entrepreneur.

Special Ability Boost
Michael, Franklin and Trevor each have a unique special ability. With this boost, the special ability bar will generate 25% faster.

Stunt Plane Trials
Single player Stunt Plane Trials let you take on additional aerial challenges spread throughout Los Santos and Blaine County.

Bonus Outfits, Tattoos and More

The very cool music identification app Shazam has been updated to version 6.0.0.

Having tried some different music, I cant honestly say it find’s the song in a matter of seconds, in some cases, only two or three words had been sung. I was very impressed!

“Dying Light” Announced from Dead Island Developers

Techland has unveiled Dying Light, the Dead Island developer is teaming with Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment on the open world first-person survival horror for both current and next-generation consoles.

The game gives players access to a massive open urban environment where they must scavenge for weapons to use against the growing infected population.

At night, the monsters grow more aggressive and gamers must run and hide to survive. Sundown also heralds the emergence of the most deadly predators.

“We are excited to partner with Techland on Dying Light, which is an original gaming experience for next-generation consoles,” said Kevin Kebodeaux, senior VP, sales and operations at Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment.

“The partnership with Techland allows us to combine their successful development capabilities with Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment’s one-of-a-kind publishing expertise to deliver on this title.”

Paweł Marchewka, CEO of Techland added: “The next-gen technology allows us to create a truly dynamic open world that features a game-changing day-night cycle.

“Inventive free running mechanics also allow for nearly unrestricted exploration and weapon-crafting to further enhance the action survival experience.”

Techland recently announced its first-person fantasy-horror game Hellraid.

Dying Light will arrive on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, PS3 and PC in 2014.

Xbox One Can Do 3D and 4K Gaming

Xbox One will support both 3D and ultra high-resolution 4K, Microsoft has revealed. Larry Hryb, the director of programming for Xbox Live, confirmed the feature of the next-generation console during a Yahoo chat session.

“The video and interface portions [will work with next-gen TVs], absolutely,” Microsoft’s Yusuf Mehdi told Forbes. “Games developed for 1080p will run at 1080p, obviously.”

He added that Xbox One will support 4K for Blu-ray from launch, with the possibility of games and other content being developed at the emerging resolution in the future.

“There’s no hardware restriction there at all,” he said. 4K, also known as Ultra HD, is already available on some high-end television sets.

Need for Speed – Rivals Are Rouring to you This Year

Need for Speed: Rivals has been announced for current and next-generation platforms. Developed by Ghost in association with Criterion, the Frostbite 3-powered racer will be released for Xbox 360 and PS3 on November 19, and Xbox One and PS4 later this year.

The announcement is accompanied by a teaser trailer showing a police cruiser chasing down a Ferrari. Players will assume the role of a cop or a street racer, in a campaign that takes place in the open-world environment of Redview County. Evading cops unlocks speed points, which can be used to purchase new cars, upgrades and items, such as turbo boosts, jammers and EMPs.

Cops, on the other hand, must work together as a team to bust as many street racers as possible. Each bust unlocks new vehicles and improved tech, including shockwaves, road-blocks and helicopters.

The game will also feature brand new AllDrive technology, allowing players to seamlessly transition from single to multiplayer.

Pre-ordering the game from selected retailers unlocks the black Nissan GT-R, early access to level 2 gadgets and exclusive liveries.

Today, Ubisoft showcased the first gameplay trailer dedicated to the Archer. Developed by Ubisoft Montréal, The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot is a hilarious free-to-play PC title that thrusts you in an outrageous medieval fantasy world called Opulencia where wealth, status and showboating are the name of the game!

In this video the Archer, a.k.a Blackeye Bowgart, takes players through the magical world of Opulencia, filled with crazy creatures and traps. Blackeye shows both his defensive tricks such as the epic backflip he uses to dodge his enemies’ attacks as well as his offensive skills, a lot of which involve arrows and traps. He also shows his taste for fancy clothes and outfits and his special bond with Chickens.

Today, Ubisoft announced the launch of patch 0.11.1 for its free-to-play PC shooter, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Online.

In addition to the service fixes and improvements awaiting eager players online, patch 0.11.1 is all about providing players with choices.

Military Supply Surplus boxes are the latest form of Mystery box and give players a chance to receive a permanent item of equal or greater value to the price of the box. In other words, everyone is a winner! The new “Battle Salvage” loot box is a new take on the old loot system. These new Battle Salvage boxes not only drop more often, but are also now available in-store.

Players of all levels can now get the gear they need without the hassle of comparing stats and crunching numbers.
