Synology has released the successor to the DS1812 line, the DS1813. With eight drive bays, and four gigabit LAN ports, this is a NAS aimed squarely at the datacenter with virtualization in mind. The DS1813+ can handle up to 4GB of RAM, and can be expanded to a maximum of 72TB with compatible Synology expansion units. Here is the press release:
