Ubisoft announces Grow Home for PC

0

Ubisoft has announced Grow Home, a quirky, experiential climbing game being developed by Reflections, a Ubisoft studio based in Newcastle, UK.  Grow Home will be available for download via Steam for Windows PC on 4th February.

GrowHome_Announcement_02

In Grow Home, players are free to explore the strange, open world full of floating islands, majestic caves and waterfalls, all set in a beautiful and minimalist artistic style. Players take on the role of BUD (Botanical Utility Droid), an excitable, child-like robot sent on a mission to search the galaxy for a new species of plant that can oxygenate his home world. By growing and directing the giant Star Plant into a towering organic sculpture, players reshape the planet and create a magnificent landscape that lets them climb to new heights. The game’s unique climbing controls and abilities challenge players to continually reach for higher ground, but one wrong move and it’s a long way down!

GrowHome_Announcement_03

“Whether it’s BUD’s charming, procedurally generated animation, the awesome structure of the Star Plant players create or the beautiful landscapes, there is a peaceful, innocent vibe about Grow Home that makes the game utterly unique,” says Pete Young, producer, Reflections, a Ubisoft studio.

GrowHome_Announcement_04

Started as an experiment within the Reflections studio by a small team of eight talented developers, Grow Home offers the opportunity to discover a singular open-world based on two main pillars: Climbing and Exploration.

 GrowHome_Announcement_05

Climbing: The world of Grow Home is built for vertical exploration and the unique climbing mechanic brings unprecedented freedom.  Players control BUD’s hands independently to grab onto any surface, scaling the giant Star Plant as it grows and expands.

Exploration: There are no set paths in Grow Home.  Players are free to explore the many micro islands and hidden caves in this fun and beautiful open world.  Every island encountered is scattered with hidden crystals to power the players’ journey and expand their abilities.

Watch the latest episode of Gat Gear and see some Armchair-a-geddon

The ultimate deadly weapon/luxury recliner is dragged up from the depths of Hell and piloted by Steelport’s own STAG in a special episode of Gat Gear.

Gat Gear

Some say it was welded together in the depths of Hell by Satan himself, and that its upholstery was woven together from Johnny Gat’s discarded navel fluff. All we know is it’s Armchair-a-geddon. Deep Silver brings to life Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell’s most deadly, sloth-enly weapon in a one-off special Gat Gear.

It has been stirring the trousers of Saints Row fans for months and now you can see what happened when Steelport’s own tame racing driver STAG, took the fully-loaded armchair for a spin through the streets of London. In Deep Silver Volition’s Saints Row: Gat out of Hell standalone expansion, this explosive weapon is all you need to shoot the Devil in the face.

Now see it take on London traffic:

About Saints Row: Gat out of Hell
After the space faring antics of Saints Row IV, many fans asked what we could do next… the answer? Shoot The Devil in the face. Play as either Johnny Gat or Kinzie Kensington as you tear apart Hell in a quest to save the leader of the Saints’ soul. Historical icons, old friends, older enemies, a talking gun, a full length musical number, and a whole lot of other shenanigans all await you in the open world standalone expansion playground that is Saints Row: Gat out of Hell.

Gat out of Hell is the standalone expansion to the award-winning and multi-million selling Saints Row IV from Deep Silver and is available now for last gen and new gen console platforms as well as PC.

About Saints Row IV: Re-Elected

In Saints Row IV, the head honcho of the Saints has been elected to the Presidency of the United States. But the Saints are just getting started. Now the larger-than-life insanity of the Saints series gets a new twist with a catastrophic alien invasion, and the aliens have transported the Saints to a bizarre Steelport simulation. Wield gargantuan superpowers and fight to free humanity from alien granddaddy Zinyak’s mental grasp. Escape the simulation that’s trapped the Saints crew, or die trying.

With Saints Row IV: Re-Elected, players will now be able to enjoy all the antics of the blockbuster release on their new gen consoles. Re-Elected is available to buy now.

First Look at Game of Thrones-Episode Two: “The Lost Lords”

0

Game of Thrones-Episode Two: “The Lost Lords,” the second episode in the game series, will be available 3rd February on PC and Mac from the Telltale Online Store, Steam, and other digital distribution services, and on the PlayStation Network for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3.

The episode will be available on 4th February on the Xbox Games Store for Xbox One and Xbox 360. The series will also be coming to compatible iOS devices via the App Store on Thursday, February 5th and to compatible Android-based devices.

 Game of Thrones

The game series is based on the world, characters and events seen in HBO’s TV show, which in turn is based on George R. R. Martin’s books (A Song of Ice and Fire). The events in the game series begin towards the end of Season Three of the series, and end right before the beginning of Season Five. Players will visit familiar locations such as King’s Landing and The Wall, as well as unfamiliar locations such as Ironrath, the home of House Forrester.

House Forrester is a noble house from the Wolfswood in the north of Westeros. Bannermen to House Glover, they have always offered unswerving loyalty to the ruling great house of the North – the Starks. The Forresters are seated at Ironrath, an imposing stronghold surrounded by towering ironwood trees. Built over fifteen hundred years ago by Cedric Forrester and his triplet sons, Ironrath is a testament to the strength and endurance of ironwood. The Forrester house words are ‘Iron from Ice’, which echoes their belief that – like the ironwood itself – the adverse conditions and unforgiving landscape of the North only makes them stronger.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=boY5jktW2Zk

The game will be played from five different points of view. Each is a member of House Forrester; either a direct family member, or a person in service to the House. Scattered across Westeros and Essos, each will play their part in seeking to save House Forrester from destruction.

Playing as five characters not only reflects the epic scope of Game of Thrones, but is also something that the player needs to be mindful of. This is because the actions of one character can ripple out to affect the rest of House Forrester. Multiply the actions of one character by five, and you’re truly playing the Game of Thrones… where you win, or you die.

In addition to its challenging and immersive gameplay, APB Reloaded features one of the best and most extensive character and vehicle customization systems available in any modern MMO. The game is driven by PvP experiences where up to 100 customized players (up to 50 vs. 50) can participate in real time missions across San Paro.

Klemens Kundratitz, CEO of Deep Silver/Koch Media GmbH, says: “APB Reloaded has become a phenomenon on the PC with a very passionate and faithful community. We are really thrilled to help Reloaded Games and The Workshop bring this fantastic world to life on the new generation consoles.”

Bjorn Book-Larsson, CEO of Reloaded Games, says:  “Over the past year it has been great working with Deep Silver and their experienced publishing teams from the Saints Row, Homefront and Dead Island franchises, as well as with the veteran development team at The Workshop, led by great members of the original Tony Hawk, Call of Duty 3, Borderlands 2: “Mr. Torgue’s Campaign of Carnage” and The Evil Within teams, and getting their deep insight into how we can best transform APB Reloaded into a great console experience.”

Peter Akemann, CEO of The Workshop, says: “On a technical note, because APB is such a technically complex game, featuring thousands of destructible objects and heavily customized players and vehicles in every scene, we are thrilled to help make APB a reality on these brand new high performance hardware platforms.”

APB Reloaded console edition will be free to download and free to play*, and players can earn items in game for free, as well as have the option to purchase in-game gear, items, vehicles and customizations intended for their characters to specialize in particular play styles.

In a parallel world where football has ceased to exist, Arion must discover what has happened to the ‘beautiful game’, tackle the shadowy intentions of El Dorado – the World’s governing council – and face off against time-bending villains in order to restore football to the world.

Inazuma-Eleven

With new gameplay innovations make their debut in Inazuma Eleven GO Chrono Stones: Wildfire and Inazuma Eleven GO Chrono Stones: Thunderflash. Seen for the first time in an Inazuma series title is the new Miximax feature, where one player can merge their aura with that of another player to become even more powerful.
