Born from a desire for accessories that were both high quality and affordable, TORRO co-founders William Johnson and Michael Farnsworth wanted to create products that they themselves would want to use.
Michael Farnsworth, co-founder of TORRO, said: “Our design ethos throughout all of our product range is to create the highest quality products that we would want to use ourselves and our newest range of iPhone cases are no exception. We have used only the finest premium leather from tanneries across the world and the new plastic mould design makes it one of the safest iPhone cases yet.”

On several occasions now Telltale Games have crossed into personal passions of mine such as Game of Thrones and Tales from the Borderlands. But DC is my first nerd passion outside of video games and the first season of Batman: A Telltale Series truly surprised me with a genuine and refreshing new take on the Batman Universe and found it captivating and immersive throughout with the only real disappointment coming from how Telltale themselves almost buried the final episode in the hype for the start of The Walking Dead: A New Frontier just one week after Batman ended. But now Season 2 has launched and we are already on Episode 2 following the opening episode that for me, is perhaps their best work since A Wolf Among Us. The stakes have never been bigger for Batman but now the series is looking to bring in the real heavy hitting Rogues Gallery as the world of Bruce Wayne has never been more conflicted.
*Spoiler Warnings from both first Season and Episode 1 in this review*
I actually came to this second season very late and by late I mean 2 days before Episode 2 released so everything is still very fresh in my mind going into “The Pact”. A quick run down of my time with Episode 1 and I have to say I was more than impressed with how Telltale have handled this second season so far. Getting to import my choices from the first season so that this story, set one year after the events of season 1, meant I could continue from where I left off and I made some pretty dark choices which had a huge impact on my experience with this Telltale take on the Batman universe. For starters, Alfred is showing the PTSD from the torture he suffered from Lady Arkham and the loss of his left eye which now has him wearing an eye patch. The efforts I made to build a strong relationship with Jim Gordon meant I came into this new season with the relationship stronger than ever having earned his and the GCPD’s trust in the past year.
I also loved the continued twist in their versions of classic Bat characters with the dark but move to make Riddler a far more credible physical threat whilst maintaining his obsessive need to prove his genius and making him one of the first costumed super villains in Gotham City was simply a delightful change to his character. The addition of Amanda Waller also added a new type of threat to Batman and the climatic twist at the end of Episode 1 only served to show the impact her presence now has in Batman’s world. That very fact that again the focus is not just on Batman but very much the deliberate inclusion of Bruce Wayne and the player’s path to juggle both sides to him with decisions that impact both Bruce and Batman almost equally putting more emphasis on player choice to determine how the story unfolds.
So as I go into Episode 2 Batman’s relationship with now Commissioner Gordon is strained and close to breaking, Alfred is clearly suffering the trauma of his experiences which is only getting worse through his concern for Bruce. Amanda Waller has revealed she knows Batman’s true identity leaving Bruce vulnerable and almost at her mercy and the Riddler is dead, killed by a mysterious figure and the reality that he was not working alone and the tragic loss of Lucious Fox, the main responsible for all the Bat Tech Bruce uses and one of his longest friends supporter lead to the resurface of John Doe, the mysterious inmate at Arkham Asylum who helped Bruce escape but now giving Bruce a way into the criminal world but as Bruce Wayne.
I really do not want to spoil if anything about the story being told in this second season too much as experiencing it first hand is the best way. But Episode 2 “The Pact” is as strong as the first episode. I am really getting the sensation that the choices I am making are indeed influencing the story and shaping it around those choices, which is not something I have felt in other Telltale Game series of late such as Guardians of the Galaxy and The Walking Dead. The world of Batman really has brought out everything I have come to love and enjoy about the Telltale way of telling a story for the player. There is also the reality that not every choice is a good one, sometimes the choices the player is forced to make at times can be the lesser of two evils or just damage controlling a situation’s outcome to help either Bruce Wayne or Batman going forward. It is in that duality that lies the strength of this second season, much like the first where the player is made to manage both sides to Bruce’s life and with consequences for both that can impact each other and everyone around him just as much.
I also felt as though I was moving the story forward which again, in more recent Telltale Games is something I have not felt other than picking a particular set of cut-scenes to play instead of taking the story in a different direction. Dialogue with each character does have an effect on their relationship to Bruce and the top left corner warning that you have changed that relationship instantly makes you start to second guess the dialogue options. Not to mention that each player choice in how Bruce reacts to a situation or person as either himself or as Batman constantly keeps you in the moment with dialogue response options teasing what their result will be. As DC fan my intimate knowledge of the Batverse makes me try to take options and decisions based on what I feel “Batman” would do but then coming to the moment where this Bruce Wayne is not the one I have in my mind at all, and therefore how I feel he should react must change because he is not dealing with the Amanda Waller or Jim Gordon that I know from say Batman: The Animated Series or comic books. Telltale has wisely changed the villains like Riddler so that they perform in a new and different way than expected especially for players with a deep knowledge of DC Comics.
Take Harley Quinn for example, introduced for the very first time in this episode and again Telltale have put their own spin on her for this series. Harley is still brutal and deadly but instead of being the loved up sidekick for Joker, she is very much her own criminal presence with the very devious role reversal with John Doe who is very much on his way to becoming Joker but here he is desperate to win her affection and admiration. This is absolutely captivating to me as a DC Fan who is very much used to having the traditional relationship of Joker and Harley there but now intrigued to see Harley in charge with John “Soon to be Joker” Doe working hard to impress her. As the player trying to make decisions to help Bruce work his way into their world in order to exploit the friendship with John Doe in order to work his way into their gang in order to discover what their ulterior motives are only to have it quickly turn against him as the world of Bruce Wayne comes crashing into what the Pact of criminals are really after forcing Bruce and the player, to make decisions that risk Bruce’s world and bringing him dangerously close to breaking his own code in order to infiltrate deeper which then brings him face to face with the other members of the Pact where he must gain their approval and trust which is no easy task when you consider that the other members of this criminal pact are Mr Freeze and Bane.
Batman himself does have a part to play and the first meeting of Batman and Bane is rather thrilling thanks to how Telltale have used the QTE mini game sequences for fight scenes and they work so well unlike say in Guardians of the Galaxy where such sequences feel flat for the most part. I love how you the player are often given a choice of how to deal with a thug such as do you go for a nice punch to the face or using a gadget to take them out making each encounter more fun to gain that “I’m Batman’ feeling. But perhaps the most rewarding side of being Batman is the continued inclusion of detective work, putting clues together in the Batcave and analysing character profiles via the Batcomputer Codex. Batman is not just about his gadgets or punching badguys in the face but often the detective side to him gets lost in that mix. With the story rooted in Bruce Wayne as himself with the two masks he wears as both Batman and the Billionaire Playboy Bruce Wayne, the player gets to determine how the man himself reacts to situations, choosing which mask will get the best result needed to protect the city no matter the sacrifice he has to make himself.
The power in Episode 2 is that it keeps the pace of the story telling quick enough to keep players on their toes without dropping the ball or putting too much on the player so that have to remember every single decision made leading into the next episode. Some choices do have me wanting to go back and replay the episode to see how the different outcomes would change the story which is yet another aspect other Telltale Games of late have not made me want to do. The new spins on classic Batman characters is rewarding as a DC Comicbooks and Batman fan with none of them going too far in the changes to make them alien but different enough to make them fun to experience in this story. I said of the first season that outside of the Arkham series, this is perhaps the purest Batman experience you can have in a video game right now and this second season continues to both impress me on multiple levels as well as delivering a superb Batman game experience.
Episode 2 is a strong chapter and if you have yet to pick this up there really is no better time as Episode 3 looks to dial up the experience to a full 11/10 setting. I cannot sing the praises of Telltale Games enough with how they are handling the Batman license from DC and so far in just two episodes, this season is already the best work Telltale have done in 2017.

Damon Wayans (My Wife and Kids, In Living Color) as Roger Murtaugh and Clayne Crawford (A Walk to Remember, Rectify) as Riggs are back on the streets of L.A., in Warner Bros. Television’s adaptation of LETHAL WEAPON. The series introduces these two polar opposites: Riggs a volatile former Navy SEAL-turned-detective out of El Paso, Texas and Murtaugh, a seasoned, by-the-book detective cautiously returning to the LAPD despite his wife’s (Keesha Sharp) objections following a heart attack which nearly killed him. Meanwhile Riggs has his own demons after the tragic deaths of his wife and unborn son. Sanctioned to mandatory sessions with the police department’s psychologist, (Jordana Brewster) things become more complicated for Riggs, when the two develop feelings for each other.
Whilst the partnership between Murtaugh and Riggs seems doomed from the start, the dynamic is crazy enough that it just might work. The question remains… can the two of them work together to protect the crime-ridden streets of Los Angeles, or will Riggs get the two of them killed first?
LETHAL WEAPON: THE COMPLETE FIRST SEASON also stars Kevin Rahm (Desperate Housewives, Madam Secretary), Chandler Kinney (The Haunted Hathaways, American Horror Story), Dante Brown (Mr. Robinson, Shameless), Johnathan Fernandez (Girls, Good Medicine) and Michelle Mitchenor (Chi-Raq, Black Boots).

Revenge has ultimately been the core of the Dishonored series for me with the freedom to experiment in just how you deliver that vengeance and allowing players to play the games as they see fit. Do you play full on stealth or swords out slaying anything and everything that moves and breaths is a question asked of all players and if honest, I have had a mixed enjoyment of the games with Dishonored 2 being a slight disappointment from a performance side on Xbox One. But I have always been grabbed by the story and the world of Dishonored and now we get potentially one final chapter for the series in the standalone DLC story of Death of the Outsider, which tasks the player with one last mission to kill a god!
Death of the Outsider is set a few months after the events of Dishonored 2 and sees a returning Billie Lurk heading back to Karnaca to find her mentor Daud who both trained and raise Billie to be a thief and assassin. Immediately the sense and tone of wrapping up stories is evident just in the character narration from Billie in the opening cutscenes performed by the excellent Rosario Dawson, as Billie feels she owes Daud something but she is also being troubled by some disturbing dreams the close her ship the Deadly Whale gets to the city. Billie has the sense that Daud is in trouble but soon it will be Billie herself in trouble as she takes Daud’s personal mission of revenge on herself.
My first concern about this DLC was that it would simply reuse elements from Dishonored 2 but to my very pleasant surprise, Death of the Outsider does enough to really make it stand out and feel like its own chapter in the Dishonored series. Though you do return to Karnaca and it has all the basic elements to gameplay in terms of combat and stealth, DOTS (Death of the Outsider) has a rather unique twist when it comes to the supernatural powers Billie can use as well as being the only main hero of a Dishonored story not to actually gain the Mark of the Outsider, the mark that gives them access to the void abilities but this does not mean Billie is powerless. Instead the traditional use of void powers has been tweaked for DOTS and actually works superbly well. To start with Billie’s void energy recharges by itself, removing the need to carry and use Void Energy vials, making the use of void gifts more frequent and also more satisfying. Next the number of powers is stripped back to just three but they are quite possibly the most useful abilities seen yet in the series. First we have Displace which gives Billie the familiar teleport ability seen in all the games but here it has a nice twist. Activating the power will allow the player to place a marker to where they want to teleport too but in doing so creates avoid clone of Billie which can be used to show where Billie will appear but it can also be used to distract guards and enemies and if aimed correctly, can explode a person should the marker appear right where they are standing.
Next power is Semblance that gives Billie the power to disguise herself as person by literally taking their face off in a nice nod to the Faceless Men of Game of Thrones. Now this can only be used on unconscious characters and uses up void energy for its duration adding a time limit to its use. It is also not a perfect disguise as should you for example take the appearance of a standard guard, senior guards and indeed hounds could sense something is off and become suspicious. This is a seriously fun ability to use both in terms of gameplay but just how cool it looks to void rip someone’s face off and how the eyes of anyone you go near once activated, glow to show that the power is working on them yet always being aware that the time is running down once activated or that it could be broken at anytime. It is a very useful power if you want to try and sneak your way through an area but also fun just to cause a little mischief as well between guards for example and has a rather cheeky Achievement/Trophy for taking the appearance of an elite guard and having a standard guard salute you, which is a nice touch.
The final ability is Foresight which allows Billie to freeze time and have an out of body experience that allows her to move around the area and to mark enemies or items of interest which once the power is deactivated, will continue to be marked and in terms of enemies will also track their movements for you. This comes in very handy when wanting to either avoid enemies or plot a route for the intended target and for finding bonecharms and collectibles. Combined these three void abilities are really straightforward in aiding Billie on missions and due to void energy recharging it changes the dynamic for how much powers can be used. These abilities are also complimented by some amazing gadgets such as the hook mine which can be either set to lethal or non lethal and positioned to catch enemies as they get close allowing for traps to be set for distraction or route clearing methods. Though the number of powers has been restricted, with gadgets Billie is still a formidable character for players.
Happily also the mission areas and objectives are very fun as well but it does have to be say this is a shorter experience in terms of story telling and getting the end game scenario but it is DLC so and it my first playthrough did come in at over ten hours. That is because of the new ‘Contracts’ which provide side missions for Billie to tackle alongside the main objective of the mission which can range from stealing an item, assassinating a character or even doing a friendly bit of kidnapping. Some will force a certain kind of gameplay style such as not hurting any characters whilst the mission is active. It is pretty much just filler but it is fun filler and really compliments Billie backstory and character and gives DOTS real substance as DLC. I actually enjoyed this more than playing through Dishonored 2 and after the ending I did feel it was a shame that Billie never became the main lead in a third full game for the series.
Performance wise I am very happy to say that it does a lot better on Xbox One than Dishonored 2 with the strange blurriness to the art style finally corrected for this outing. The mission areas may not be as stunning as say the Clockwork Mansion but are intricately designed such as the Bank Heist mission which will task the player with finding a way to break into a bank and them navigating the perils inside to achieve the goal. Music is splendid throughout and the voice acting is spot on although the ending overall felt more like an afterthought in how it wraps things up for the player depending on how they choose to end the story. But for a standalone story and gameplay, the amount of content for the asking price of this DLC is spot on.
Death of the Outsider feels very much like an Epilogue to the whole series with a sense of finality which will be rewarding for players who have followed the series to this point but may not make much sense if you are new and only jumping into this series with this DLC but Dishonored 2 can be found at most online retailers and near the same price of this DLC so it is worth seeking it out before playing this. I love the new powers and the nice touch that once completed, DOTS has a New Game plus mode which allows you to replay DOTS but using the powers from Dishonored 2 instead. Should this be the last ever Dishonored game then it is a nice way to tie it off with a satisfying story end that follows the “you decide how to play” core gameplay of the series but I was a little underwhelmed by how the ending was delivered despite appreciating that it meant for this universe.
Billie Lurk is a great character and brilliant choice to lead this Epilogue of sorts for Dishonored but I do hope this is not the last time we venture into the void but should it be, it has been an incredible ride with a very fitting end with Death of the Outsider.

Metroid and its heroic main character, Samus, have been neglected by Nintendo for years. Fans of the franchise kept asking for new entries and Nintendo seemed to had given in when it released Metroid Prime: Federation to a lukewarm reception from both critics and fans. However, the company seems focused on redeeming itself with the announcement of a new Metroid Prime for the Nintendo Switch and the recent release of Metroid: Samus Returns – a reimagining of a Game Boy title.

Here is the official trailer for episode two of Batman: The Enemy Within, a new five-part episodic game series that continues Telltale’s unique take on the Caped Crusader.
The death of a villain at the hands of a mysterious assassin was just the beginning. As explosions rock Gotham, Batman races to meet a new foe, but encounters a force that may cause even the Dark Knight to fall. In the guise of the billionaire, Bruce meets John Doe’s ‘friends’ and becomes enmeshed in a plot where the only way out is to go deeper in. But at what cost?
Episode two, ‘The Pact,’ launches October 3 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, and Mac. In addition, both episodes one and two will become available on iOS and Android-based devices that same day. Going forward, new episodes will launch the same day on all platforms.
Watch the first trailer from the Maze Runner The Death Cure out in January 2018, In the epic finale to the Maze Runner saga, Thomas leads his group of escaped Gladers on their final and most dangerous mission yet. To save their friends, they must break into the legendary Last City, a WCKD-controlled labyrinth that may turn out to be the deadliest maze of all. Anyone who makes it out alive will get answers to the questions the Gladers have been asking since they first arrived in the maze.
“It’s a heist movie this time,” says director Wes Ball, who has helmed each of the movies in the trilogy. “It picks up six months after the last movie, where we started in the desert, and then we come into the world of WCKD, which is a city: The Last City.” The series started in the Glade, a lush open space surrounded on all sides by giant walls, and beyond them the maze that kept them prisoner. For the group of young people trapped in the Glade, with no memory of who they once were or why they were there, breaking out was their first priority. “But now, they’re breaking into walls, almost an inverse of the maze, and they have to get answers and out-manoeuvre every obstacle thrown their way,” Ball says, “We get to see the other side of the universe and come full circle.”
And just as THE MAZE RUNNER offered lush greens framed by the decaying concrete walls of the maze, and MAZE RUNNER: THE SCORCH TRIALS gave us vast, inhospitable desert ruins, so MAZE RUNNER: THE DEATH CURE is set to its own aesthetic and colour palette. “The first film, with the maze, was all cement and overgrowth,” observes Ball. “The second story was the sand and rust of the Scorch and this film is a world of glass and steel. I’d say it has elements of sci-fi and film noir – I loved the idea that each one of these movies has a distinct look and feel, but that they all fold into this same universe.”
