At long last Salt and Sanctuary, Ska Studios’ brutal hand-drawn 2D Soulslike platformer with more than 900,000 downloads, prepares to strike Xbox One on 6th Feb, with the help of porting specialist BlitWorks.

After an ill-fated journey at sea leaves their ship and crew annihilated by a creature lurking in the depths, the protagonist washes ashore on a strange island. There, an old man gives them the mantle of the Saltborn, taunting them with riddles about buried secrets cursing these profane lands.

Vicious enemies lurk and prowl everywhere, from the haunting Village of Smiles to the poisonous Mire of Stench, hoping to cut the Saltborn down. More than twenty horrific bosses lord over their respective areas intent on tearing hopeful adventurers to shreds. What haunting past are these monstrosities trying to prevent the Saltborn from discovering?

Salt and Sanctuary asks a lot from those who seek answers, but the heart-racing combat never feels unfair. Customize the Saltborn’s appearance and preferred loadout, and conquer the island in whatever fashion leaves behind naught but plundered chests and the viscera of fallen foes.

Wield a wide array of weaponry and armor, but know that some armaments struggle against certain foes. Deploy Fire and Sky spells to scorch and shock the opposition, but be wary of leaning too much on either one as neglecting elemental balance leads to rapid self-destruction. Enhance the Saltborn over time through a massive skill tree that expands as the game progresses.

Solve the mystery of the island but prepare to dive back in through New Game+ and Challenge Modes, such as no-blocking and permadeath modes that add an extra degree of challenge. Or, hand an Xbox One Wireless Controller to a friend and work together in local co-op to conquer the island.

You’ll be able to buy the Mi Mix 3 at Xiaomi’s website, Amazon UK, and Ebuyer, and for January 16 only, the phone can be yours for just £449.

Mi Mix 3 is most noteworthy for its 6.39-inch AMOLED display with an impressive screen-to-body ratio of 93.4%. Xiaomi was able to achieve such a high percentage by moving the front-facing cameras to a hidden portion of the Mix 3 that slides up above the screen

The Honor View 20 is a lot more than simply a phone that wants to be the first to rock this new design, and there are lots of other features to get excited about.

Powering the phone is the same 7nm Kirin 980 SoC you’ll find in the Huawei Mate 20 and the Mate 20 Pro.

That chip is paired with 6GB/8GB of RAM – the version I am using has 8GB – and storage options up to 256GB, the device is a 6.4inch with a 1080p screen.

The battery capacity on the Honor View 20 is a 4000mAh. Pair that with the efficient chip and 1080p display and you’ve got a phone that should be good when it comes to endurance. More details on performance and battery life in the full review, in a little while.

The rear also houses a distinctive ‘V’ laser-etched shape that appears to move in the light.

Honor has even found room to keep the 3.5mm headphone jack on the top of the device.

On the back of the View 20 are the new Sony IMX586 48-megapixel camera sensor and a secondary TOF (time of flight) sensor that’s there to help with 3D object recognition.

The 3D sensor on the Honor View 20 can be used for AR gaming and it’ll function in a similar way to Microsoft’s Kinect.

With the Honor View 20, the phone default set to shoot 12-megapixel images, with the option of 48-megapixel available in the Settings panel. There’s also a 25-megapixel in-display camera on the front.

Deep Silver and 4A Games today revealed the Metro Exodus Story Trailer, featuring a host of new characters and a first look at some of the locations Artyom and his band of Spartans will visit as they journey across post-apocalyptic Russia, from the frozen Winter streets of Moscow to the fiery Summer sands of the Caspian desert.

Narrated from the perspective of Anna, the Spartan Order’s top sniper and Artyom’s wife, the Story Trailer explores the hostile world of Metro Exodus that lies in wait for the crew of the Aurora as they flee the ruins of Moscow and embark on an epic year-long journey into the unknown. Artyom always believed that there was life beyond the Metro – now his hopes and dreams will be put to the ultimate test in the crucible of the Russian wastelands.

Featuring an original score from series composer Alexey Omelchuk, the Story Trailer is just the first in a series of upcoming gameplay reveals leading towards the release of Metro Exodus on February 15 for Xbox One/Xbox One X,  PS4/PS4 Pro and PC.

Today, at the start of CES 2019, TCL Communication is officially unveiling the company’s newest Alcatel 1 Series smartphones. The Alcatel 1X (2019) and Alcatel 1C (2019) continue the Alcatel mobile brand vision of bringing modern smartphone features and making them accessible to consumers around the world.

With new designs, features and software experiences, these all-new 2019 Alcatel 1 Series smartphones include the TCL-made Full View Display and are helping redefine the entry-level smartphone experience.
