Toshiba UK yesterday announced the launch of the AT300 – a beautifully thin and light tablet that doesn’t compromise on power, connectivity or style.

Featuring Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich, an NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor and a stunning brushed aluminium finish, the AT300 is an ideal blend of high performance and modern design.
Powered to perform, built to last
A bright, high definition 25.7cm (10.1”) LED backlit display (1280 x 800) features 10-finger multi-touch support, making web browsing, gaming, reading, or using apps a fun and user-friendly experience. At only 8.95mm thin and weighing just 590g, the AT300 – available in 16GB or 32GB sizes – is a truly portable entertainment device, ideal for taking on long journeys or using from the comfort of the living room.
The quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor makes light work of demanding applications – delivering incredible graphic performance on even the most detailed games, faster image rendering and smoother HD video playback. Additionally, the NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor includes an additional fifth core specifically designed to handle everyday tasks, helping to extend battery life to up to 10 hours, delivering a full day of power without the need to recharge.
The AT300 features an elegant and sturdy aluminium shell, as well as a highly durable CorningGorilla Glass display, making it both stylish and scratch-resistant. Powered by Android 4.0,Ice Cream Sandwich, the AT300 offers a simple holographic UI design, up to five customisable home screens, and full access to Google Play, providing access to over 500,000 applications and games, as well as movie rentals and ebooks, all from the tap of a screen.
Shoot, record and chat
Two integrated cameras – 5MP on the rear and 2MP on the front – deliver instant flash photography, movie recording and video chat options, whichever direction the AT300 is facing. Additionally, integrated stereo speakers feature exclusive sound enhancements by Toshiba and SRS Labs, delivering punchy audio, perfect for music and movie playback on the move.
For those wanting to enjoy content on the AT300 with friends or on a bigger screen, a micro-HDMI® output also enables users to playback video, web content or games on any high definition television, monitor or projector.
Like the Toshiba AT200 before it, the AT300 maintains excellent connectivity options despite its thin design. A full-size SD card slot (up to 64GB) enables speedy file transfer from computers or direct from digital cameras, while a micro-USB port makes connecting to peripheral devices such as external HDDs quick and easy. Optional mobile broadband also provides a fast wireless internet connection from anywhere with a 3G signal – letting users browse the internet, stream video or download apps when on the move.
The AT300 includes a full suite of popular Google Mobile Service applications, including Google Play, YouTube, and Google Maps. Additionally, the AT300 comes pre-loaded with a useful mix of Toshiba software and third-party applications, including Toshiba Places, offering fast and convenient access to millions of music, movie and e-book downloads.
