The New York City Liberty Dome is a veritable urban rainforest teeming with overgrown trees, dense swamplands and raging rivers. Within the Liberty Dome, seven distinct and treacherous environments become known as the Seven Wonders. This dangerous new world demands advanced weapons and tactics. Prophet will utilize a lethal composite bow, an enhanced Nanosuit and devastating alien tech to become the deadliest hunter on the planet.

Set in 2047, Prophet is on a revenge mission after uncovering the truth behind Cell Corporation’s motives for building the quarantined Nanodomes. The citizens were told that the giant citywide structures were resurrected to protect the population and to cleanse these metropolises of the remnants of Ceph forces. In reality, the Nanodomes are CELL’s covert attempt at a land and technology grab in their quest for global domination. With Alien Ceph lurking around every corner and human enemies on the attack, nobody is safe in the path of vengeance. Everyone is a target in Prophet’s quest for retribution.

Apple Officially Announces 128GB iPad 4

0

Apple has officially announced a new iPad boasting 128GB of internal storage,  the most it has ever offered on an iDevice.

The 128GB model has the same  specs as the fourth generation iPad that was released  last October, and comes in WiFi-only or WiFi + 3G/4G connectivity.

iPad 4

It offers twice the storage of the previous top-end 64GB model, enabling users  to hold even more photos, files, documents, apps, music, TV shows or books.

The 128GB iPad 4 will be available from 5th February in black or white,  priced in the US at $799 (£639) for the WiFi model and $929 (£739) for the WiFi  + cellular version. It will be sold at Apple Online Store, Apple retail stores  and select Apple Authorized Resellers.

“With more than 120 million iPads sold, it’s clear that customers around the world love their iPads, and everyday  they are finding more great reasons to work, learn and play on their iPads rather than their old PCs,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president  of worldwide marketing.

“With twice the storage capacity and an  unparalleled selection of over 300,000 native iPad apps, enterprises, educators  and artists have even more reasons to use iPad for all their business and  personal needs.”

The fourth generation iPad has a 9.7-inch Retina  display, Apple-designed A6X chip, FaceTime HD camera, and runs the new iOS 6.1  operating system, which rolled  out last night.

Apple said that many businesses and corporations are  now utilising the iPad to improve productivity, including “virtually all” of the  Fortune 500 and over 85% of the Global 500 claimed to be “currently deploying or  testing iPad”.

The firm feels that as people are increasingly using  iPads for tasks that involve a large amount of data, such as processing 3D CAD  files, X-rays, film edits, music tracks, or project blueprints, the bump in iPad  storage to 128GB is needed.

However, the manner of the announcement is  highly unusual for Apple, as the firm typically makes major product  introductions at blockbuster launch events led by its chief executive Tim Cook.

Interestingly, though, the 128GB iPad 4 is announced just ahead of the launch  of Microsoft’s new Surface Pro tablets, which run the full version of  Windows 8 and have storage up to 128GB.

The extensive optical zooms in both cameras can be utilised when shooting Full HD movies.”

The P520 – Zoom beyond your expectations

The COOLPIX P520 is an incredibly versatile bridge camera that covers every shooting situation. Its 42x NIKKOR lens, one of the most powerful on the market, captures both close up portraits shots and distant landscapes easily.

Even when performing at full zoom, an 18-megapixel backlit CMOS sensor and advanced lens-shift vibration reduction make sure frames remain steady and subjects are pin-sharp, in any light. Meanwhile, the vari-angle 8.0-cm (3.2-in.) 921k-dot LCD monitor encourages you to get creative and shoot from a different angle. The superbly high-resolution screen, as featured on professional Nikon D-SLR cameras, has an anti-reflective coating and best-in-class colour rendering and image brightness.

For more advanced users, the P520 offers full control over camera settings, with a mode dial for access to manual exposure settings (P/S/A/M) and User mode with which you can recall your preferred camera settings instantly. One-touch Full HD movie mode makes switching to filming movies instantaneous and built-in GPS records the exact location where a picture was taken as a geotag in the image data, making the P520 a great option for travellers. Keeping you connected, an optional Wi-Fi dongle can instantly transfer images and movies to any smart device, ready to upload to the internet.

Easy Auto mode takes care of the camera settings for you, matching the setup of the camera to the situation you are in and making shooting effortless, while the remarkably sensitive 16-megapixel backlit CMOS image sensor captures outstandingly detailed images, even in low light conditions.

The broad focal range of the L820 encompasses both extreme wide-angles shots such as capturing a sweeping beach landscape, and super-telephoto distances like picking out a distant surfer riding a wave. Its clever side lever helps shift between the two perspectives within seconds, and ensures smooth, steady zooming throughout the entire focal range whether filming or shooting still images. Meanwhile, four different automatic anti-blur functions ensure your subject remains sharp. When the moment is worthy of a movie, a one-touch record button switches instantly to Full HD (1080p) filming, and a large 7.5-cm (3.0-in.) LCD screen displays all the action captured with superb clarity at any time of day or night.

Nikon introduces the COOLPIX AW110, S31, L27 and L28 Cameras

Nikon today unveils four new additions to its range of COOLPIX cameras, including an expert in underwater photography: the robust AW110 outdoor camera, which can be taken to a depth of 18 metres and offers Wi-Fi for sharing experiences as they happen.

AW110_OR_front34r

Meanwhile, the waterproof, shockproof and dustproof 10-megapixel S31 is a sturdy yet simple camera that the whole family can use. Finally, two new L series cameras, the L27 and L28, make capturing quality images and movies effortless.

James Loader, Product Manager for Consumer Products at Nikon UK, comments: “These new COOLPIX cameras suit a range of different types of photographic situations, from the rugged AW110 to the easy to use COOLPIX L cameras that make for hassle-free shooting with the smart auto features.”

He adds: “The AW110 has been designed with the extreme sports fan or newly qualified diver in mind; you could strap it to a scuba tank and explore beneath the waves to a depth of 18m, the standard diving depth for those with an Open Water Diver qualification. It also offers instant uploading to a compatible smart device via Wi-Fi so that subaquatic adventures can easily be shared with friends and family. For those who want a robust body on a more moderate scale, the S31 can go down to 5m underwater, will withstand knocks or dust, but is so simple to operate that everyone from grandparents to kids will enjoy using it..”

The AW110 – Ready to capture the great outdoors

AW110_BK_back AW110_BK_URE25

Designed to capture and share all the action, the AW110 is just as prepared for adventure as you are. Whether it’s in your hand, mounted to a surfboard, clipped on a backpack or attached to a scuba tank, every twist, splash, dive and crash can be recorded in crisp pictures or Full HD (1080p) movies. A 16-megapixel back illuminated CMOS sensor, NIKKOR wide-angle 5x zoom lens and a 7.5-cm (3-in) 614k-dot OLED monitor comes in a tough compact body that is dustproof, waterproof to depths of 18m, shockproof from heights of up to 2m and freeze-proof for temperatures down to -10°C.

Friends and family can be kept up to date with all your latest escapades, thanks to built-in Wi-Fi which transfers pictures and videos directly to a smart device, for easy uploading. In keeping with the needs of an adventurous photographer, a raft of features ensures the AW110 is optimized for the great outdoors. GPS enables geotagging of images, so you can easily track and tell others where your pictures were taken, whilst an electronic compass and a world map help you to orientate yourself and plot a route. An altimeter records the exact altitude at which you take a shot (range: -300 m to 4,500 m) and a hydro-barometer measures underwater depth (range: 0 to -20 m).

Designed to make sure you can capture the action when you are right in the middle of it, rather than standing on the sidelines, a handy Action Control feature means you can adjust camera settings by swinging the camera from side to side, so that operation is easy even when underwater or wearing thick gloves.

As is typical of a Nikon camera, the image quality offered by the AW110 is second to none. The highly sensitive 16-megapixel CMOS sensor and dedicated low light modes combine to deliver stunning results in bright sunlight, at night or underwater. High ISO (up to 3200) light sensitivity reduces the risk of blurred images with fast-moving subjects or in low light, while Best Shot Selector (BSS) automatically selects the sharpest of up to 10 sequential shots. Ultimately, there is no better camera for capturing outdoor pursuits or adventurous exploits – whether in winter, spring, summer or fall.

The COOLPIX AW110 comes in four colours: camouflage, blue, black and orange.

The RRP is £329.99 and will be released 21st February 2013.

The S31 – Welcome to the family

S31_PK_back S31_PK_front34l

Sturdy, simple and fun, the 10-megapixel S31 can be used by the whole family. With large buttons, clear menus, a NIKKOR 3x optical zoom lens, 6.7-cm (2.7-in) LCD screen, HD video recording and fun in-camera filters, anyone can take great shots and movies with the confidence that this camera can withstand knocks and be taken practically anywhere. Waterproof down to a depth of 5 metres, shockproof from up to 1.2 metres height and dustproof, it is built for active use at home and on holiday, and encourages capturing pictures from new places, such as in the pool or on the beach.

A symmetric body design ensures the S31 is easy to handle and fits comfortably in any pair of hands. The flash is in the centre, while large, dedicated one-touch buttons for taking a photo or filming a crisp 720p movie are on either side of the camera, to avoid little fingers getting in the way of a great shot. Clear menus with bold, colourful icons make it simple to navigate through functions, even for children. Automatic anti-blur technology ensures sharp shots of the fastest-moving friends or relatives, and once the perfect picture has been captured, fun in-camera filters can add an extra special touch, such as a Fisheye effect or Selective Colour.

The COOLPIX S31 comes in four colours: yellow, pink, blue, and white.

The RRP is £99.99 and will be released 21st February 2013.

The L27 – Making memories last

L27_RD_front34l_lo L27_SL_back

A NIKKOR wide-angle 5x optical zoom lens (26–130mm) captures everything from group shots to close-ups with superb precision and sharp resolution. When you want to remember even more of the moment, crisp HD (720p) video recording is available at the touch of a button, and photos and movies are played back just as you remember them on a quality 6.7-cm (2.7-in.) LCD monitor.

Easy Auto Mode optimizes all camera settings depending on what light you are in, ensuring your images are always impressive. Built-in Motion Blur Reduction reduces the effect of camera shake, and the Smart Portrait System includes features such as Smile Timer and Skin Softening, to ensure subjects always look their best. Powered by convenient AA-size batteries, the L27 is perfect for taking anywhere.

The COOLPIX L27 comes in five colours: purple with lineart decoration (Exclusive to Argos), black, red, silver and white.

The high-performance IXUS 255 HS and slimline IXUS 135 and IXUS 132 combine distinctive design with Canon’s acclaimed imaging and lens technologies, offering stunning results and slim, stylish metal bodies. The new entry-level PowerShot A2500 provides point-and-shoot ease in a modern, compact and affordable design that can be taken anywhere and used by every member of the family.

Designed to make it easier for users to share their images or video clips with friends, family and followers, the IXUS 255 HS and IXUS 135 are the latest additions to Canon’s expanding range of Wi-Fi enabled cameras. Easy connectivity to smartphones and tablets allows uploading to popular social networks, whilst GPS via mobile functionality means users can track their nights out and holidays by tagging location data.

From entry-level through to advanced models, Canon’s entire compact camera range is designed to make it easy to capture high quality images and video that users will want to share. The 16 Megapixel sensors of the IXUS 135, IXUS 132 and PowerShot A2500 combine with Canon’s DIGIC 4 image processor to produce poster-size images with minimal noise and natural colours – perfect for family events, holidays or simply capturing the everyday. The IXUS 255 HS features Canon’s advanced HS System, with a 12.1MP CMOS sensor and DIGIC 5 processor, which allow this model to excel in low-light situations, capturing sunsets, evening events or nights out with friends easily, with a reduced need for the flash.

Canon’s extensive heritage in optical engineering is central to the superior performance and compactness of these new models. The ultra wide-angle 24mm, 10x optical zoom of the IXUS 255 HS allows users to get even closer to the action and capture every detail, and both the IXUS 135 and IXUS 132 pack a 28mm, 8x optical zoom into a super-slim body that can easily slip into a pocket. Advanced optical Image Stabilizer technology with Intelligent IS selects from seven[i] different modes to combat camera shake and ensure video is smooth and stills are crisp – even in challenging shooting conditions. Each new model also features ZoomPlus technology, a high quality digital zoom that up to doubles the reach of the lens while maintaining image detail.

All four new cameras have been designed to make it easier than ever to shoot high-quality, creative images and HD video footage. The new entry-level IXUS and PowerShot models feature Smart Auto, which detects up to 32 different scenes and applies the most appropriate settings to capture the perfect shot. Creative modes like Miniature Effect, Toy Camera Effect, Fish-eye Effect and Monochrome can also be used to enhance an image, add drama, or give it a unique, fun perspective.

The IXUS 255 HS also features a new Hybrid Auto mode, which provides a fresh way to capture high-quality stills and HD movies with minimum effort. Hybrid Auto uses Smart Auto with Scene Detection technology for shooting stills with optimal settings, and also captures up to four seconds of movie footage prior to the shutter being released. All movie clips captured during the day are then merged into one behind-the-scenes movie, which can be shared online to give friends a unique insight into any collection of photos.

The IXUS 255 HS and IXUS 135 make it easy to share images with friends and family via social networks, smartphones and tablets. Using Wi-Fi connectivity, the cameras can be wirelessly connected to smartphones or tablets, and images can be instantly uploaded to Facebook, Twitter or YouTube via Canon’s CameraWindow app. With GPS via mobile functionality, users can add the GPS location data logged with their smartphone to their photos, so they can track where each shot was taken.

Free access to CANON iMAGE GATEWAY also allows users to share image albums, or back up photos and movies directly from the camera over their home Wi-Fi network. Images can also be transferred to a range of home devices, including PCs, or compatible wireless printers.

The new IXUS models feature stylish, metal bodies – with compact, sophisticated designs that slip into any pocket or handbag. The IXUS 135, IXUS 132 and
PowerShot A2500 feature large 6.7cm (2.7”) screens, while the IXUS 255 HS features a high quality 7.5 cm (3.0”) PureColor II G LCD screen with a 460k dot resolution – ideal for framing and reviewing shots in crisp detail and vivid colour, even from awkward angles or in bright sunlight.

All four models feature a new Eco mode, which helps users continue shooting for longer by conserving battery life, capturing up to 30% more photos – perfect for family days out, or holiday use.
