Call of Duty: Black Ops II Vengeance is available first, exclusively on the Xbox Live online entertainment network from Microsoft beginning 2nd July. Vengeance, the game’s third epic Downloadable Content (DLC) Pack from Activision and its award-winning studio Treyarch, takes players to four diverse locations around the globe, including a deserted tropical island, a destroyed suspension bridge, an abandoned paintball course and the jungles of Myanmar. Vengeance also serves up a new addition to the game’s esteemed Zombies experience with “Buried,” where the undead residents of an abandoned subterranean Old West mining town have come back to claim their home.
“When it’s difficult to see the line between playtesting and leisurely gaming around the studio, it’s a sure sign that we’ve created something fun with Vengeance,” said Mark Lamia, Studio Head of Treyarch. “From the four multiplayer maps to our new Zombies experience, “Buried,”Vengeance continues doing what we set out to accomplish from the very beginning of development on Call of Duty: Black Ops II: pushing the boundaries of fans’ expectations.”
Call of Duty: Black Ops II Vengeance delivers four new, diverse multiplayer maps starting with “Cove,” where the stage is set for all-out conflict on this small, forgotten island in the middle of the Indian Ocean, with players battling it out amongst the wreckage of a jet that crash-landed during a smuggling operation gone wrong.Next up is “Detour,” a destroyed suspension bridge, high above an East Coast waterway, packed with scattered vehicles, exposed iron and collapsed pavement where the head-to-head action will play out on multiple levels. The third map, “Rush,” sets the stage for fast, close-quarters engagements in this paintball course turned full-combat arena, giving players new opportunities and challenges to use the cover to their advantage.Rounding outVengeance’s multiplayer maps is “Uplink.”In this re-imagined adaptation of the fan-favorite multiplayer map “Summit” from the original Call of Duty®: Black Ops, players clash deep in the rain-soaked jungles of Myanmar, high atop a hi-tech mountain facility.
Treyarch yet again expands the Zombies storyworld in new, mind-bending ways with “Buried.” Players meet up with old characters and will encounter new ones as they face off against the undead residents of an abandoned underground Old West mining town. A healthy arsenal of equipment and weapons that will be at players’ disposal, but with one very special addition – something so powerful it will also appear in all other Call of Duty: Black Ops II Zombies maps (with the purchase of Vengeance DLC): the Ray Gun Mark II.
Call of Duty: Black Ops II Vengeancewill be available first, exclusively on Xbox Live for Xbox 360 for 1200 Microsoft Points on 2nd July, with other platforms to follow.

At E3, I ran into Nolan North and he was kind enough to sit and talk to me about a few things. Well, he talked, and Deadpool talked, and a few others talked too…..
You may recognise Nolan’s name – he has been the voice of many video game characters, including Nathan Drake and can be heard as the merc with the mouth, DeadPool.
During the interview he occasionally references Jennifer Hale, you can’t see her in the video but she is sitting next to me while I talk to Nolan.
Anyway, over to Nolan, and Nathan, and Deadpool, and… well, over to Nolan:
Mission accomplished! I, Deadpool, have created the ultimate Deadpool video game masterpiece! I call it…wait for it…DEADPOOL!
It’s pretty much the greatest thing I’ve made (besides my ill-fated root beer float hot tub incident of ’93) and is available now in popular retail establishments and most major chimichangerias (like a taqueria…but with chimichangas!) across the UK. Oh yeah, and those video gamey and comics guys at High Moon Studios, Activision Publishing, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Activision Blizzard, Inc. (NASDAQ: ATVI), and Marvel Entertainment kind of helped, too.
“I’ll never forget the day I threatened convinced Peter Della Penna, the head of High Moon Studios, to make a kick-ass, third-person comic book video game with extreme combat and bikini-exploding action, starring me,” said Deadpool, Big Chief and Head Honcho of Things & Stuff regarding DEADPOOL at High Moon Studios. “Peter looked me lovingly in the eyes and said in return, ‘Deadpool, I’ll do whatever you want; just please stop filling up my kitchen with pancakes!’ It was that first moment where I really felt like Peter and I had a connection – an understanding that has stuck with me to this very day. Coincidentally, his family dog stuck with me too, you know…for leverage.”
Fans can rest assured that the first order of business while making DEADPOOL was purchasing a life-size replica statue of me for High Moon Studios, so that my outstanding team of talented, dedicated nerd types could gaze endlessly at it in order to make the digital me look as good as real-life me. I also instructed them in the art of building a fast, fluid combat system that mixes all my upgradable bang-bangs with my mad kung-fu-chop saki skills and mutant abilities, so the Deadpool in DEADPOOL (i.e. that’s me…heh…), is a one-stop wrecking machine, perfect for stealth and balls-out explosive frontal assaults alike. Forget walking away from explosions in slow motion – I jump right into them to see how hot they are…REGENERATIVE HEALING FACTOR, baby!
I also filled a windowless room with terrifying spiders and locked…er…hired veteran Deadpool writer Daniel Way and provided him with really, just a stupid amount of spiders a “package” to convince him to pen a script that would befit Marvel’s most lovable character’s debut as a leading man. DEADPOOL is the rare game that plays with you while you play with it, delivering a $#!t ton (it’s just a better system of measurement, people – I can’t stress that enough) of fourth-wall-eviscerating humour voiced brilliantly by yours truly, doing a bang-up imitation of what it would be like if a young up-and-comer I discovered named Nolan North were trying to sound like me (Got that?…).
I am currently available and accepting dating offers – please send full-body shots. In other news, my DEADPOOL video game is also now available for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and on Windows PC. If you’re not into hard, packaged goods, the digital me is also available for digital download (Did you think I wouldn’t diversify my distribution network? In this economy? Newbs!) on the PlayStation Network for the PS3 and Steam. I will also be available later this summer on Xbox LIVE® Marketplace for the Xbox 360. And of course, I…DEADPOOL, am rated PEGI 18! Because if there’s one word that describes Deadpool, it’s “mature.” Want more information? Well, let your fingers inappropriately caress your keyboard over towww.DeadpoolGame.com, or follow along at www.facebook.com/RealDeadpoolor on Twitter @RealDeadpool.
And here is the crazy launch trailer – take it away Deadpool:
Xbox One will not include the headset as a pack-in accessory. Because Xbox One includes Kinect, gamers will be able to use that for chat instead. However, should you want a more intimate trash-talking experience whilst online, a new Xbox One headset will be sold separately.
Microsoft has confirmed the omission to Ars Technica, stating that Kinect features “highly sensitive multi-array microphones designed to enable voice inputs and chat as a system-level capability, both in-game and with Skype and other experiences.” Unfortunately, you cannot use your old Xbox 360 headset, as it is not compatible. After the U turn last week from Microsoft about the always online and DRM, now this can’t Microsoft do anything right for this New Generation of console.
But the Playstation 4 comes with a headset not a very good one, it doesn’t look like something you have to get too excited about.

The shots come from the game’s first city-based stage and feature nomadic warrior Sirian, who wields an electric guitar as a demon-slaying weapon. He’s basically more rock ‘n roll than One Direction and Bieber could ever hope to be.
