Sniper Dan can be summed up in four unique words, “Where’s Waldo: Sniper Edition. If that doesn’t make you want to play the game, then stick around because this game is well worth playing. Sniper Dan brings a unique and refreshing twist to the hidden object genre. Sniper Dan, developed by Denki, who released the game on the 17th of September 2026. It is available on all platforms.
There isn’t really a story in Sniper Dan. Instead, you have locations that you will visit and complete jobs there over the course of three days. Each day has its own list of jobs to complete. However, it comes with a twist. The jobs are phrased that the solution is not always obvious.
A good example of this is one of the jobs you are given, after finishing the tutorial. The job states “My lips are too dry to blow bubbles.” You will comb through the stage until you find the bubble blowers. Once you have found them you may end up looking for something to blow air towards them. The answer is much simpler. Shoot the bubble wand to complete the goal.

Does the gameplay hit the mark?
Sniper Dan is a family-friendly game that is rated for children aged seven and above. While that may be strange for a game that has the main mechanic of using a sniper rifle. The developers thought ahead, in the tutorial it is made clear that you’re not meant to shoot people or animals. If you do the game punishes you with a loss of coins. The character or animal that was shot becomes annoyed at you, and gives you a disapproving look.
At the end of each day, you will see a score screen that shows the results of the days work. You are then rated on your performance for that day. If you complete the jobs quick enough, without making a mistake then you will get the best rank for the day. As well as earn the most reputation points. These points can be used in the market too buy upgrades for the sniper, or can buy additions to make the office look nicer.
The jobs set on each day are for the most part simple. The solution is always to shoot it, like shooting boxes to clear a path for a plane. There are some jobs that can be a bit more challenging, the solution may be hidden on the other side of the screen. It can be placed far away from the relevant item to make you look harder for it.
In addition to the set jobs there are also hidden jobs that give a bonus of 1000 coins when completed. These jobs involve finding a set amount of bananas peels and fireworks. The other two are for finding two unique characters in each location.

There is only one heavy metal, and it isn’t the music.
The soundtrack to the game isn’t bad, it is your typical upbeat family-friendly game music. It can be somewhat repetitive in nature but no worse than other games. In complete honesty it isn’t all that memorable but truthfully that isn’t an issue. I think that the gameplay outshines its background music. The only exception being that the humorous sound effects added in break up the repetitive sounds.
To look at it with a critical eye, then i would say the music is the weakest, if not the worst part of this game. I say this as after playing you will forget the soundtrack within ten minutes. While an opinion like that would be a fair and valid one, I would say that I disagree. While the soundtracks in games can have an everlasting impact. I feel a game like this wouldn’t need it, as people may play it with YouTube videos playing in the background. Alternatively they could be talking to friends or family. The music fades into the background becoming an added extra that some may want to listen to.
Graphicly this game stands out from the crowd.
When looking at games that have come out this past month. Sniper Dan stands out from all the others, the graphics are very cartoonish. With this being a family-friendly game, this is the best choice they could have made. The style of animation used helps make the silly comedy of the game work. Any other art style wouldn’t work.
The game feels like a Where’s Waldo book come to life. Every single inch of this game feels like it has its own mini story to tell. The way the people and animals move may at times be stiff, but their feelings and actions are always clear to understand.

Hidden object games can be, at least in my opinion, hard to judge graphically. As they can either look identical to each other or be the most random thing. With this game keeping the art style simple has meant they can focus on making the gameplay more enjoyable, giving players a reason to go back and replay the level to get a better score. Yes, some may not enjoy this cartoon style of game. I feel works because the graphics help the wackiness of the game.
Final thoughts.
This game is a breath of fresh air, can it is a nice simple cosy game. The kind to play when you want to take a break from the rush of everyday life. Hidden object games have always had a close place in my heart since I was a young child. Sniper Dan has taken me right back to that small child playing hidden object games on the computer. The developers Denki have what I feel could be an amazing series of games with this concept. The jobs in the game aren’t truly that hard to complete. The solutions tend to be obvious when you find them, on more than one occasion I told myself to stop overthinking. the answer is most likely the simple one, most of the time it worked.
While others may not find enjoyment in it. I would highly recommend people who like this style of game to check it out. You will thoroughly enjoy playing. It will make you smile at some of the ridiculous jobs and solutions. I enjoyed every second of this game and I will definitely be looking out for whatever Denki does next.
