Technical aspects.
Creating a controller that is compatible with the Nintendo Switch and a PC is no easy task. The GXT 1230 MUTA controller uses a motion sensor for when you are gaming on your Switch. Accordingly, if you play any motion control-compatible games, you do not miss out on this immersive feature. On top of this, the rumble feature is well-balanced. As such, you enjoy a realistic experience that isn’t over the top or annoying. Subsequently, it adds depth to whatever game you are playing.
Another phenomenal feature was the pressure-sensitive triggers. These responsive inputs enhance your precision and accuracy in any game you play. Consequently, I found them to be perfect for FPS and racing games. Additionally, you’ll enjoy up to 10 hours of battery life from one charge. Therefore, if you tackle a monstrous session of COD, you needn’t worry about running out of juice. Yet, if you do run out, you don’t have to panic. Instead, you can plug in the long USB cable and keep gaming whilst you recharge the batteries.
Build quality.
The GXT 1230 MUTA controller has some fine features. Thankfully, they are complemented by the stunning build quality. The ergonomic design is pleasant to handle. Moreover, the textured grips and large buttons are easy to hold and use. Alongside this, the hardened external shell can withstand some knocks and bumps. As such, it is ideal if you are a little clumsy.
On top of this, I loved the addition of a media button and the easy-to-understand LED indicator. Consequently, this is a user-friendly accessory that is built to last. I was surprised by how environmentally friendly this device is. Made with 75% recycled plastics, this will impress eco-loving gamers. Finally, the ability to change the D-pad was a great touch. I stuck with the classic format. However, if you love something a little unique, then you can easily change the D-pad cover.
Is the GXT 1230 MUTA controller worth it?
Buying a versatile controller that adapts to the key features of each platform is no mean feat. However, the GXT 1230 MUTA controller tackles this issue. Furthermore, it is built with the environment in mind. Accordingly, I was impressed by its build quality and its usability. Furthermore, I loved the pressure-sensitive triggers and the balanced rumble motors. Though I didn’t change my D-pad, I can see why this would be useful for other gamers. Therefore, I loved it and I recommend that you buy it here!
