During the PlayStation Experience this weekend, Square Enix Ltd., revealed that NieR: Automata will be available in Europe for the PS4 from 10th March 2017. Developed in collaboration with PlatinumGames Inc., the exciting new action role-playing game centers around the story of androids 2B, 9S and A2, and their ferocious battle to reclaim a post-apocalyptic world abandoned by mankind and overrun by powerful weapons known as machine lifeforms.

Fans and newcomers alike are also invited to get their hands on the action-RPG in a newly announced consumer demo, coming soon on the PlayStation®Network.

In addition, SQUARE ENIX also confirmed details of a limited “Black Box Edition”. The coveted Black Box Edition will be available in limited quantities from the Square Enix Online Store. Housed within a sleek black Collector’s Edition box, the Black Box Edition will include:

  • Hardback 64-page artbook detailing the stunning artwork and illustrations from the game

  • Hauntingly Beautiful Soundtrack containing 13 live recorded songs from NIER and NieR: Automata, composed by veteran Keiichi Okabe from MONACA, Inc. (TEKKEN / Drakengard / NIER)
  • Additional bonus DLC content, including: Machine Mask Accessory, Grimoire Weiss Pod, Play System Pod Skin, Retro Grey Pod Skin, Retro Red Pod Skin, and Cardboard Pod Skin

As well as the Black Box Edition, a special Limited Edition includes an exclusive Steelbook case featuring character illustrations from Akihiko Yoshida along with extra digital bonus content. The Limited Edition will be available from select retailers. Further details will follow at a later date.
