Deep Silver FISHLABS announces Galaxy on Fire 3 – Manticore, the sequel to its action-packed space saga for smartphones and tablets, set for release in 2016. The game’s predecessor Galaxy on Fire 2 was successfully launched on the App Store in 2010.

Prior to the release of Galaxy on Fire 3 – Manticore, an official prequel by the name of Galaxy on Fire – Manticore Rising will grant additional insight into the complex game world of the “GOF” series.

As an exclusive line-up title for the new Apple TV, the game has already been shown to select media representatives at the recent Apple Keynote. Galaxy on Fire – Manticore Rising will be available for download as soon as the new Apple TV goes on sale.

“Galaxy on Fire 3 – Manticore is our first large-scale release on the mobile platform and therefore marks an important milestone in the development of our company,” says Dr. Klemens Kundratitz, CEO of Deep Silver/Koch Media. “With the great heritage of the GOF franchise and Fishlabs’ pedigree, we are looking forward to set a new benchmark in the sci-fi genre.”

The adrenaline-fuelled action of Galaxy on Fire 3 – Manticore takes place in the far-off Neox Sector, a lawless fringe area of known space terrorised by ruthless warlords and greedy mercenaries. Out here, players set forth to take down these merciless tyrants and rise to become bounty hunter legends.

As of now, sign-ups for the closed beta of Galaxy on Fire 3 – Manticore can be made in Deep Silver FISHLABS‘ User Area.
