Part one of the acclaimed drama’s final season takes place in 1969, and sees Don Draper (Jon Hamm – Million Dollar Arm), Peggy Olson (Elisabeth Moss – Top Of The Lake), Roger Sterling (John Slattery – God’s Pocket) and their fellow advertising executives fighting personal battles while struggling to remain relevant in an ever-changing New York City. In the midst of the sexual, political and economic revolutions taking hold, Sterling Cooper & Partners are adjusting to the delicate dynamics of an office split between New York and Los Angeles, and all the problems this new set-up brings. Don is still dealing with the repercussions of his life-altering decision at the end of season six, while attempting to keep his marriage to Megan (Jessica Pare) afloat, while Peggy is adjusting to a new boss and Roger is continuing to embrace the freedoms offered as the new decade approaches.

From creator Matthew Weiner (The Sopranos), and featuring a stellar cast that also includes Christina Hendricks (God’s Pocket), January Jones (X-Men: First Class) and Vincent Kartheiser (In Time) Mad Men Season 7 – Part 1 continues to set the bar impossibly high in stylish, nuanced and brilliantly compelling drama, while perfectly laying the foundations for the final seven episodes next year.

Having been in hospital for three weeks after an emergency op, winning this competition would seriously help in my rehabilitation… these long hours of recuperation are a nightmare with only daytime TV for company. Come on, have you ever seen how terrible Jeremy Kyle and Loose Woman are, not forgetting David ‘cheap as chips’ Dickinson.
