The 7Hz Sonus II earbuds are designed for audiophiles who are on a budget. These wired-only earbuds deliver rounded and strong audio that offers a warm range of tones. Furthermore, the bass is strong and punchy without overpowering the other audio elements.
Unlike other earbuds, this doesn’t have a battery, nor does it have a microphone. Instead, it focuses on clean and crisp audio without distractions. After all, if you want to lose yourself in your favourite track, there is no need for a built-in microphone. This will not appeal to users who want more versatility. However, I appreciated the dedicated design and the lack of battery power.

Technical aspects.
The 7Hz Sonus II earbuds use a hybrid driver configuration for clearly defined audio lines. There is 1 custom dynamic driver for rich bass and strong lower frequencies. This is complemented by the custom planar magnetic driver. The latter focuses on treble and detail retrieval.
This design is a noticeable improvement on its predecessor. That uses a balanced armature arrangement and a dynamic driver. The result for the 7Hz Sonus II earbuds is improved high-frequency extension, detail, and separation.
The lack of Bluetooth is a noticeable choice from this audio-focused company. Although many IEM devices are wired-only, it could catch some people by surprise. If you insist on wireless connectivity, you could pair these earbuds with the FiiO UTWS series ear hooks. This would enhance versatility without undermining the audio design.

Audio quality.
Tonal quality has been improved by the triple-sound control system. The 7Hz Sonus II earbuds have a three-stage tuning system via an acoustic steel mesh, tuning cloth, and acoustic foam. This helps to regulate airflow and regulate the hybrid driver system for a smoother and more consistent audio platform.
The result is a clean tonal range that can be picked out with ease. Additionally, the bass is nicely balanced and relatively powerful. I never experienced anything that was horribly uncomfortable, nor did the songs sound distorted. Instead, every tune sounded rounded, and each of the highs, mids, and lows was easy to pick out.

Build quality.
Whenever I utter the words, “an affordable choice”, there is always the concern that something must give. Luckily, the 7Hz Sonus II earbuds don’t compromise on quality. The casing has a premium construction that comprises an aerospace-grade aluminium rear cavity, skin-friendly front cavity, and impressive 24k gold-plated acoustic cover. The result is a durable and comfortable audio device that’ll withstand some roughhousing.
If you were to accidentally damage the industry-standard 2-pin cable, it can be replaced with ease. This was a brilliant choice, as no one wants to search for expensive cables or wait weeks for a replacement.
The fashionable case is attractive to look at and great to handle. The contents will remain unscathed no matter how much you throw the case around. Moreover, everything is kept together when you are commuting. Consequently, this is convenient for travelling abroad or keeping them safely stowed when at home.

Are the 7Hz Sonus II earbuds worth it?
I’m willing to sacrifice versatility for improved audio quality. Furthermore, when a company offers this at a great price, I’m even more impressed. The 7Hz Sonus II earbuds are the ideal option for audiophiles who have a strict budget. Not only do they offer an incredible soundscape, but they are comfortable, easy to use, and they look amazing. Accordingly, I love them, and I recommend buying them here!
