The following preview is based on the game’s currently available demo on Steam. Not every feature is included; the preview only contains what’s playable. Keep Farming Aura is part of the upcoming Steam Next Fest, with the full release planned for Q4 2026.

I have never played 3D incremental games before, so this genre was new for me. I went into this preview with no expectations, and came out quite surprised.

Keep Farming Aura is an in-development game that released its demo on October 8th, 2026, so you can say that the demo is really fresh. Developed and published by Giant Warrior Studio, it’s a 3D incremental game that was heavily inspired by ongoing trends, and by the phonk genre.

Keep Farming Aura’s Simple Start

When you launch the game, it welcomes you with a simple, yet intriguing starter screen. The background has the game’s own cover picture, with the big Keep Farming Aura title that shakes in the middle. This effect adds a good, vibrant feeling that defines the game. You can jump straight into the game, or navigate through the menus.

The menus are simple, not many of them, and nothing unnecessary. Options is very simple, with barely any adjustable settings. You can switch basic things like resolutions, cap or uncap fps, and use Twitch integration if you want to stream the game. If you turn on integration, the game will block any copyrighted songs from the game. Stream chatters can also appear in-game as crowd members, and help you collect aura.

Starting a new game will require you to create a new character that fits your style. Whether it’s male or female, you can customize its face, clothes and accessories. There are countless hairstyles, beard styles, and clothes you can choose from. You can select the style and then the coloring, which is also separate for each part. You can choose from casual wear to formal clothes, everything.

Core Gameplay

Once you’ve finalized your character, the game will land you on the first area, an empty street with a house behind you, a crosswalk on one side, and a park on the other side. There will be a speaker at your feet, playing Brazilian phonk music. Keep Farming Aura is heavily inspired by Brazilian phonk, since the developers are also Brazilians.

Your job from here on is to farm aura. That can be done by pressing the action key shown at the bottom, that will make the character perform 67s. All of these moves will give you aura points, that can be used to buy upgrades. This is where the upgrade tree comes in. You will have an upgrade tree, that you can access, by pressing the key shown on the top left, which will throw you into the skill tree menu. Here, you can upgrade aura points, multipliers, and later other tree branches by completing the main aura goal. You can read what every upgrade does, or their cost by hovering over them. Be prepared because once you upgrade a main part, the upgrade progress will reset itself, leaving you to start from zero. This gives a nice challenge but a big risk of repetitiveness.

There’s a bar you need to fill up, this can be done by performing the moves required by it. You start with 50 moves, but with the upgrade tree, you can lower the required amount. Once you fill this up, a special move will be available to do, by pressing the key when the slider hits the purple bar. This will result in more aura points, and later on in more crowd members. The reverse is also true, if you fail to hit it, crowd members can leave and you can miss out on aura points.

Level Progression

On the first level, the speaker will talk to you in dialogues with small, but funny texts like “Okay, we’re looking”. A good touch, that makes the game more humorous than bland and boring.

Every time you complete the main goal, and unlock the next in-game mechanic, you will switch the scenery, and continue the game in different locations. You will move from the empty streets, to metro stations, all the way to basketball courts and parks. They come with the upgrade tree branches, and more on-screen information. First you will be able to change your character’s outfit, then see the crowd and crew members. They will also introduce new mechanics, like the iconic pose bar, which works the same as the special move bar, mentioned above, but it’s rarer and gives a lot more aura points.

Interesting Mechanics

The crowd is a really interesting mechanic. You can gain and lose crowd members in later levels, by hitting or missing moves. If you hit the special move, you will gain crowd members based on the upgrade tree progress. They can be upgraded, giving you more points, and more of a challenge to maintain your audience. When you fail a special move, a series of boos will be heard and some crowd members will leave. To get some new ones, you will have to perform a special move successfully. An interesting detail is that when you hit the special move, or your iconic move, they will join and dance with you.

Crew members will join in on the last level in the demo, where they will perform the same moves as you, and essentially work the same as the crowd. They give you more points, counting towards the next goal, which will be available when the full game is out. They can also be upgraded in the upgrade tree.

Final Thoughts

Keep Farming Aura is a nice and fun demo. It makes time pass by quickly. I hope when the full version is out, the later in-game mechanics will be just as fun. The game does a great job utilizing the newer internet memes, like 67, the usage of the word ‘aura’, and phonk music. I think it can also make the newer generations play video games in a more immersive way, that’s different from what you see on the internet. The upgrade tree is a bit repetitive from the resetting progress. It can be a bit annoying and boring after a while, but the new upgrade options even it out and justify it. Overall, this demo is good.

I'm a gamer since I was 3 years old. Since then I always found something to play with. I usually just enjoy what I enjoy at the moment. This can be a SinglePlayer or MultiPlayer game, a souls-like game, or just a cozy game. Personal favourite franchise is the GTA franchise, so I mostly know stuffs from that.
