Technical aspects.
On the face of it, the Nanoleaf Elements panels are an exceptionally simple product to handle. They have a plug-and-play approach that makes them a joy to work with. Whether you want a basic blocked pattern or a random piece of art on your wall, these panels have you covered.
Alongside this, you can preload an array of magical and warm effects to deliver a romantic, dramatic, scary, or chilled vibe to your living room or gaming space. This can be scheduled or done on the fly with the incredible free-to-download app. The effects include a forest, nightlight, clouds, a cosy evening, and much more. This was great to set the scene with very little effort.
The music visualisation is another amazing element that improves immersion. This reactive tool brings every song, video game, and movie to life. Therefore, you can bring energy to any party as your panels burst to life and pulse to the beat.
Finally, the inclusion of Alexa and Apple smart technology is a game-changer! Marking every room, adjusting lighting via voice commands, and the ability to time and adjust settings on the fly give you ultimate control. Additionally, there is an element of home security as you create a busy impression whenever your home is vacant. This is a reassuring layer that makes Nanoleaf stand out from its peers.
The app.
The app is one of the standout features of the Nanoleaf Elements panels. It creates a virtual map of your layout for the most intuitive design choices. Moreover, it assists in creating your design before you attach it to the wall. This was amazing, as you can play with your layout without having to commit to any design choice.
Designed with ultimate flexibility in mind, the app lets you adjust every aspect of the panel with ease. You can play with your lighting scene, select presets for gaming and work mode, or adjust the intensity of your music visualisation. Furthermore, you can browse the discovery station to take inspiration from the community ecosystem.
If you run a smart digital network, the app helps you to integrate the panels with your Apple HomeKit or Alexa tech. This allows you to use voice commands to match each activity. Lights off for bedtime and a gaming arrangement when your PC or Xbox is turned on. Either way, it delivers an impressive and seamless arrangement that impresses the toughest of critics.
Build quality.
The smart integration, effects, and Threads technology are what make the Nanoleaf Elements panels an exceptional proposition. However, it is the veneered finish, the amazing build quality, and the simple setup that blew me away. The durable panels have multi-lock connection points via the included connectors. This allows users to create almost endless designs. Furthermore, the ability to integrate these panels with other Nanoleaf items was phenomenal.
Designed to stick directly to clean and painted walls, you will have no issues with setting up your panels. Simply peel off the protective coating, apply some pressure, and watch your design come to life. If you wish to create a 90-degree image, this can be done with the flexible connectors.
Once the panels are connected to your wall, they will resist knocks, bumps, and scratches. However, if you need to remove them to change your design, this can be done with some gentle persuasion. This is amazing, as you know they will resist damage, but you can mix things up if necessary.
Are the Nanoleaf Elements panels worth it?
Although RGB is popular, it is still considered a gaming and entertainment niche. The Nanoleaf Elements panels aim to break that mindset with their sleek design, exceptional lighting, and easy-to-use approach. The straightforward app helps you set the scene, and the immersive music visualisation and digital home integration are a major plus. Accordingly, if you want a modern and sophisticated edge, I recommend grabbing the starter pack here!
