Paw Patrol: Dino World takes you on a massive adventure with some long-extinct beasts. It captures the magic of the film and the TV series as you get to control or interact with your favourite characters. Moreover, you can select your favourite pup to complete an array of simple and interesting interaction games.
This 3D adventure game was developed by 3DClouds and published by Outright Games. It is a single-player or couch cooperative experience. The latter was amazing fun as players can both select the pup of their dreams as they collect pup treats, explore different areas, and find collectables.
Mayor Humdinger is at it again in Paw Patrol: Dino World.
Dino Island is a special place that is filled with magic and extinct beasts. However, Mayor Humdinger doesn’t care about this; all he wants is dinosaur eggs and to cause chaos. Thankfully, the Paw Patrol are on hand to thwart his dastardly plans and save the day.
The story is as crazy as you’d expect from this much-loved franchise. Furthermore, it is as loud and energetic as always. This may be too much for adult gamers, but my 3 kids loved it. The 10 and 8-year-olds particularly adored the vibrancy, the large levels, and the simple tasks. My oldest found it to be a little repetitive, so I’d say anyone with children 10 and under will enjoy this title.
Simple action.
The best thing about Paw Patrol: Dino World is the basic approach. The quests are easy to understand, and there is a nice blend of fetch quests, mini-games, and pup-specific tasks to complete. Alongside this, you must explore each stage thoroughly if you are to find every collectable, chest, and dinosaur egg.
The exploration element was nicely balanced as you are always pushed in the right direction, and the space between accepting a quest and completing it kept my youngsters focused. Whether you were watering plants, flying over gaps, repairing equipment, or diving in the lakes, each pup has a job to do.
Vibrant graphics.
Paw Patrol: Dino World has exceptionally colourful graphics, and the backdrops work perfectly with the theme. This was a real plus point for my kids as they loved the dinosaurs, the simple-to-follow paths, and the safe gameplay. Sadly, there were a few visual glitches that undermined the polish. Luckily, the bugs aren’t game-breaking, so hopefully they will be patched out.
The audio is great for kids and terrible for adults. The soundbites are repetitive, shrill, and annoying. However, my kids loved them! They enjoyed the familiar pup sayings and the loud and deliberate sound effects. Consequently, although it drove me mad, it was ideal for its intended audience.
Excellent controls.
If you like to be in complete control, you can adjust the settings to match your skills. Alternatively, you can let the game control the camera as you plod from one mission to the next. Everything is nicely labelled, and kids as young as 5 will be able to play this with ease.
There are 4 large stages to explore, with plenty to find. Therefore, Paw Patrol: Dino World offers a fair layer of replay value and longevity. Word of warning: older gamers will find it to be shallow and mindless. However, younger gamers will return to find every egg, grab every pup treat, and unlock every costume.
Paw Patrol: Dino World is the perfect child-friendly game.
It may have broken my soul, but Paw Patrol: Dino World is an excellent child-friendly game. It ticks all the boxes for younger players; it is safe, easy to play, and great fun. Additionally, it has short missions, a nice blend of hands-on mini-games, and a quick, shallow story that’s perfect for lovers of the franchise. Accordingly, I think it is great, and I recommend buying it here! Can the Paw Patrol save the day? Find Mayor Humdinger, rescue the dinosaurs, and bring peace to Dino Island.
