The NEX Pro mouse from Epomaker is a fantastic gaming peripheral that gives you an elite edge without the mind-blowing price point. Furthermore, the ergonomic design is ideal if you enjoy marathon gaming sessions or must work for hours. Either way, this lightweight, comfortable, and stylish mouse is the perfect choice to improve your gaming rig.

Unlike its peers, this offers an impressive magnetic charging dock to keep you in the game for longer. Not only can you keep your desktop tidy, but you can top up the battery at the same time. This makes it incredibly useful and stylish. Furthermore, you can connect a USB cable in a pinch to get you through any low battery emergencies.

If rapid and accurate movement is a must, the PAW3950 sensor is a game-changer. It offers various DPI settings and up to 8kHz high-speed response. Although this was too much for me, I know that elite gamers will adore the lightning-fast response times.

What’s in the box of the NEX Pro mouse?

  • The packaging is durable and great to look at. Moreover, it is recyclable.
  • The NEX Pro mouse has a hardened and smooth performance-focused shell. Additionally, there are customisable side buttons to increase your options.
  • Spare gliders are provided.
  • Connect the mouse with the USB-C cable.
  • Learn the basics with the user manual.

Technical aspects.

The NEX Pro mouse is a plug-and-play option if you do not like to customise your peripherals. Alternatively, you can use the online software to create the mouse of your dreams. Either way, it is a breeze to set up, and lazy gamers will adore the straightforward design.

The Omron optical switches create a low-latency experience that guarantees accuracy and smooth and shallow actuation distance. This is ideal if you enjoy fast-paced gaming or want something that is super responsive. It combines perfectly with the clean and comfortable performance designed shell. The flow of the mouse reduces fatigue and is the ideal companion for gamers or office workers.

Responsive movement is a must for a gaming peripheral. This is where the PAW3950 sensor comes to the fore. The up to 42k DPI is ridiculously fast, and something that is way out of my comfort zone. However, elite gamers will love the almost too-fast response rate. Luckily, the 6-phased settings ensure that there is a suitable DPI for your needs.

Finally, with tri-mode connectivity, the NEX PRO mouse delivers 1000 Hz polling for wired and USB connectivity. Alternatively, this drops to 125 Hz via Bluetooth. The latter was useful for my Steam Deck or tablet, but I opted for the USB connectivity when playing on my PC.

Build quality.

The hardened plastic case, interesting colourway, and impressive magnetic docking station make the NEX Pro mouse stand out from its peers. Moreover, the 100 million-rated optical switches are reassuring for hardcore gamers and those who don’t like to upgrade their accessories too often.

The smooth shell is designed ergonomically. This reduces fatigue and makes it a joy to use. Although the lightweight design won’t be for everyone, it feels nice to use, especially when the DPI is ramped up. The actuation distance is comfortable, and each click has a nice and distinct audio profile. If you are a heavy-handed gamer, this mouse should resist your hardened ways. The case is durable, and the colours will resist staining and fading over time.

Is the NEX Pro mouse worth it?

You cannot beat a high-end and responsive gaming mouse. The NEX Pro mouse delivers incredible accuracy, mind-blowing speeds, and an impressive battery life. Moreover, it is ridiculously comfortable and the perfect companion for lengthy gaming sessions. Accordingly, it’s great, and I recommend buying it here!
