Review: QcK M Aqua mousepad

The QcK M Aqua mousepad from SteelSeries allows me the chance to show off my colourful side. This striking mousepad is the ideal option if your workstation is a little drab. Moreover, it works well when paired with the Apex 3 TKL Aqua, the Rival 3 Wireless Gen 2 Aqua, and the Actis Nova 3X or 3P Aqua

Although that sounds like a lot to invest in, your gaming rig will pop thanks to the matching peripherals and top-end SteelSeries products. However, this review focuses purely on the QcK M Aqua mousepad. Elite players have trusted this mousepad for more than 15 years. Furthermore, I’ve looked at the larger versions of this mousepad, and I was thoroughly impressed.

Technical aspects.

Unlike the other mousepads I’ve reviewed, this one isn’t designed specifically for speed or accuracy. Instead, this is a bit of an all-rounder and is designed for a generic gaming audience. This is a great choice as it lets us mere mortals push our gaming level without having to focus on one style over another.

The micro-woven cloth is a fine choice if you want low friction, smooth movement, and a comfortable surface to work with. Furthermore, you get ample real estate to swing your mouse with ease. I’m a little animated when I game, and this mousepad was large enough to withstand my madness. Additionally, unlike its peers that have built-in RGB, this doesn’t need plugging in. As such, your desk looks cleaner, and there is less cable management to worry about.

Build quality.

SteelSeries is renowned for top-end products. Thankfully, the QcK M Aqua mousepad doesn’t buck the trend. Every element of it is fantastic. The underside has a rubberised no-slip base to prevent unwanted movement. This is perfect for those who love hectic shooters or fast-paced racing titles. Alongside this, the material is nicely padded. This makes it comfortable when you rest your wrist upon it.

The micro-woven cloth is strong and hard-wearing. Consequently, no matter how much you use it, it will resist wear and tear. We all know that workstations can be a magnet for dirt and food. Luckily, this mousepad can be cleaned easily to ensure it is always on point. Finally, the material is resistant to fraying and tearing. This is ideal as cheaper mousepads look tatty and ruin your gaming setup.

Is the QcK M Aqua mousepad worth it?

If you want a comfortable and durable mousepad that’ll add energy and colour to your workstation, this has to be on your radar. Moreover, if you love to colour-match your accessories, SteelSeries has this covered. I love the simplicity and the colourway. Additionally, the build quality is fantastic, and the non-slip base is a game-changer. Accordingly, it is brilliant, and I recommend buying it here!
