Bang-on Balls Chronicles is an insane title that blows its triple-A counterparts out of the water. This exceptionally clean and trouble-free gaming experience is perfect whether you are a platforming-loving adult or a cheeky youngster looking for a good time. Alongside this, the mountains of collectables and silly shenanigans will keep you entertained for hours on end. Consequently, this is enjoyable and great value for money.

This 3D platforming title was developed by Exit Plan and published by Untold Tales. Moreover, it has some crazy boss battles, interesting secrets to discover, and vast worlds to traverse. As such, this is one indie title that begs to be played and shouldn’t be ignored. Alongside this, the sound effects are amazing and every ball-like character can be customised within an inch of their life. Therefore, this ticks many boxes for gamers from all walks of life.

Bang-on Balls Chronicles has no story.

A 3D platforming adventure with no story is a little unusual. However, that’s exactly the setup for Bang-on Balls Chronicles. Now, this may disappoint traditionalists, but I enjoyed the lack of direction and the mini-stories that unfolded. What’s more, with no plot restraints, the developers were free to be as creative and insane as they wished.

The range of gaming zones will impress you. Whether you are smashing ships in a Viking land or taking to space and enjoying an outer-world experience, you’ll love every moment. Furthermore, this can be enjoyed alone or with up to 3 friends. Accordingly, the madness and energy levels go off the scale as you destroy every element of each open-world zone.

So much to see and do!

I usually scowl when a game has a lack of direction. Additionally, when there is too much to do, I find it overbearing and uncomfortable. However, this wasn’t the case with Bang-on Balls Chronicles. This insane title never rests and you are free to attack whomever you wish and destroy whatever you wish. Yet, there are some goals to work towards if you wish to get to the end goal.

Each zone has a boss and plenty of creatures to destroy en route. However, getting to each one requires some focus and a list of tasks to be completed. As such, if you wish to progress, you’ll need to focus your attention for a short period. This was easier said than done as the layers of enjoyable madness never seemed to cease. Consequently, you can spend hours on end exploring each location and discovering the many secrets on offer.

Bang-on Balls Chronicles looks amazing.

Indie games aren’t renowned for a polished finish. Yes, there are exceptions to this rule, but generally, they have some rough edges and bugs to contend with. Yet, Bang-on Balls Chronicles is distinctly triple-A in its approach. Not only was it exceptionally clean, but I discovered zero issues. Additionally, playing this as a team resulted in a buttery smooth experience that didn’t disappoint. On top of this, each zone was wonderfully different and this made it a dream to explore without getting bored.

The audio was unbelievably enjoyable and amusing as well! Each of the ball-like characters will make you chuckle because of their ridiculous voices and silly one-liners. Furthermore, though there was no story, each character added depth to mitigate this issue. Alongside this, you’ll adore the upbeat soundtrack and the crashing sound effects. As such, this is a high-energy game that never ceases to impress you.

Excellent controls.

A platforming game fails if the controls are woeful. Thankfully, Bang-on Balls Chronicles is an exceptional game to play. The intuitive controls are easy to understand and the excellent tutorial sets you on your way. Accordingly, this is the perfect title for gamers no matter their ability.

With so much going on, this will keep you busy for hours! It is a collector’s dream and smashing up the open world is amusing and therapeutic. Moreover, there are plenty of quests to complete and loads of items to unlock. Furthermore, there are bosses to overcome and many unique zones to explore. Subsequently, this oozes replay value and longevity.

Bang-on Balls Chronicles is amazing.

I didn’t expect to love this indie title as much as I do. Every layer of it is well considered and the finish is impressive. What’s more, it is fun to play alone or with others. Additionally, the quests are great and discovering every secret will push you to your limit. The only downside is that there is so much to do that it may be overbearing for some. However, I loved it and I recommend that you buy it here! Can you explore every location and find every collectable? Bounce, fight, and roll across every unique area.
