Motorcycle Mechanic Simulator 2021 is an informative title that is relaxing and enjoyable. However, it is tainted by poor controls and this impacts the end product. Yet, if you can look past this issue, you’ll enjoy a deep and testing game that teaches you the ins and outs of motorcycle repair.

This simulation title was developed by Play2Chill and published by Ultimate Games. Moreover, there are some open-world driving elements and some business management moments. Accordingly, it’ll appease many fans of the genre even though the controls are somewhat clunky.

Will you be able to repair this bike?
So many elements to fix.

Build your empire in Motorcycle Mechanic Simulator 2021.

Motorcycle Mechanic Simulator 2021 is a detailed title that tests your mechanical knowledge. Thankfully, you don’t need to be mechanically minded to get the most out of this game. Instead, a helpful guidance system points you in the right direction and this keeps you on track.

The action revolves around a small business owner and their desire to expand their empire. At first, you own a tiny garage and have limited appeal. Yet, as time passes and your reputation and skills evolve, you are tasked with fixing complex issues and repairing bigger and more impressive bikes. Furthermore, if you are successful, you’ll own a fleet of garages that’ll deal with any task that is thrown your way.

Easy to understand.

Repairing bikes may not come naturally to you. Moreover, you may not know the filter from the brake pad. Yet, thanks to the excellent game mechanics, you needn’t worry about the finer details. Instead, any problematic parts are highlighted with a red hue. This is perfect as you can identify any problems immediately.

On top of this, you will be told about any parts that must be removed and how to purchase or repair any bits as you go. Additionally, once you have put the vehicle back together, you are free to test-ride it to see if you’ve resolved the issue. This part of the action was hilarious. As you explore the map, the bike would go wrong if the problems weren’t fixed. Consequently, you’d hit barriers, walls, or other obstacles. As such, it was a painful reminder of your inability to resolve any problems.

Use your money to improve your garage.
Time to improve your garage.

Skill tree and a trip to the yard.

Another fine element was the skill tree. As you completed any tasks, you earned XP that helped you to improve your character. Subsequently, you could identify issues without inspecting parts, unscrew bolts faster, or earn more money. Whatever you picked, it would improve your gaming experience and make the action a bit more manageable.

However, the piece de resistance has to be the ability to salvage parts and build your bike. I loved this aspect of the gameplay as it allowed you to dive into every layer of bike repair. Moreover, you were free to sell any vehicle that you built and this allowed you to expand your empire further.

Motorcycle Mechanic Simulator 2021 looks surprisingly good.

The simulation genre isn’t the most attractive around. Yes, there is the odd exception, but normally, developers focus on gameplay elements as opposed to visual prowess. Thankfully, Motorcycle Mechanic Simulator 2021 looks surprisingly good, mostly. The bike repair element is exceptionally detailed and each part looks as it should. However, the open-world riding moments are janky and dated. Accordingly, this layer of gameplay should have been much better.

The soft and subtle soundtrack was reminiscent of a hotel lobby or a high-class lift. Subsequently, the understated music was relaxing and pleasant to listen to. Yet this was juxtaposed by the loud and gruff sound effects of every vehicle. This was disappointing as the engine noises were not realistic and this undermined the end product.

There are plenty of motorcycles to choose.
Time to select your motorcycle.

Clumsy controls.

I despise clumsy controls. Sadly, this is exactly what you get when you play this title! The poorly ported inputs are woeful when using a controller and this makes it unnecessarily frustrating. Additionally, the slow-to-react cursor is mind-numbingly awful and this just compounds the issues. Alongside this, the UI is clunky to use and it was tough to see what tab or item was highlighted. Accordingly, the developers should have done much better.

If you can accept this shortcoming, then you’ll enjoy oodles of replay value and longevity. Between upgrading your character, searching for parts, and repairing every bike, you’ll have no time to spare. As such, this will keep you busy while teaching you the ins and outs of bike maintenance.

Motorcycle Mechanic Simulator 2021 impressed me.

Though Motorcycle Mechanic Simulator 2021 had some rough elements, it impressed me throughout. The attention to detail and layers of depth entertain you from the off. Furthermore, the ability to play this with limited mechanical knowledge was fantastic. However, the poor sound effects, lacklustre open-world elements and woeful controls hold it back. Yet, despite these shortcomings, I recommend that you buy it here! Can you become a much-loved mechanic? Expand your skills, buy a new property, and repair every bike you encounter.
