During EGX in 2022, I was lucky enough to look at Unknown Number. This revolutionary title challenged gaming norms and impressed me with its approach and interesting story. Well, the team behind that fantastic game is working on a new title. DEAD MEAT is an interrogation experience unlike any other. This bizarre concept appears to be tantalisingly suspenseful whilst giving the player the freedom to act as they wish. Accordingly, your only restriction is your imagination.
This unusual interrogation title has been published and developed by Meaning Machine. Furthermore, the gameplay is powered by author-led AI. Consequently, this team’s latest title pushes the “First Person Talker” idea into a whole new realm. Furthermore, the simplicity of the gameplay and the tense atmosphere will drive gamers crazy!
No one can hide from the truth in DEAD MEAT.
Murder is a heinous crime, and no one wants a criminal running free. Yet, interrogating someone whilst ignoring their human rights is perhaps a step too far. But this is exactly what happens in DEAD MEAT. You must use your wits and intellect to force a confession out of the number one suspect. However, there is a twist! You have until the suspects’ lawyer arrives. If you haven’t forced a confession before this point, then you have failed and you must start again.
DEAD MEAT tells the story of Lucia, a robotics engineer who’s just killed her husband… probably. It’s your job to get that all-important confession – using your own words to manipulate, persuade, threaten, or even seduce them into fessing up. But be warned Lucia’s no pushover. So you’ll have to get creative – employing classic strategies you’ve seen in the movies, or even inventing entirely new ones.

The gaming industry rarely produces originality or surprises. Consequently, when a developer breaks the mould, I sit up and take notice.
