3. Huesera: The Bone Woman
Let’s move to something scary, shall we? For all my horror film lovers out there, the star of today is Huesera: The Bone Woman which came out in 2022 starring in the key role as Valeria, Natalia Solian. The movie will keep you and your whole focus in front of the TV for 1 hour and 33 minutes. We see Valeria, a member of the middle class who is actively trying to conceive. Valeria is shown pleading with higher powers to help her conceive as the movie opens.
At first glance, one may conclude that Valeria aspires to have children and that becoming pregnant would bring her the utmost joy. But as soon as Valeria finds out she’s pregnant, the titular Bone Woman begins tormenting her. Valeria is being followed by the strange being, putting her baby and her family in peril. So, when Valeria is cursed by the evil thing, her joy at becoming a mother for the first time, which she has long awaited, is swiftly taken away. The featured review in IMDbsays that this is a movie that many young parents can relate to, since welcoming your first child can be a challenging and rather difficult.
