To celebrate the release of Star Wars – The Rise Of Skywalker on DVD and Blu-ray, we are offering you the change to win a copy on Blu-ray.

The ninth and final episode in the Skywalker saga welcomed the return of original characters Luke Skywalker, General Leia Organa, Chewbacca, C-3PO, R2-D2, Emperor Palpatine and Lando Calrissian, along with the latest generation of heroes and villains, including Rey, Finn, Poe, BB-8, Maz, Rose, General Hux and Kylo Ren. Newcomers include Jannah, a new ally of the Resistance; Allegiant General Pryde of the First Order; and smuggler Zorii Bliss. 

Coinciding with the release of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, eight Star Wars films are being released on 4K UHD for the first time: Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, Star Wars: Attack of the Clones, Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, Star Wars: A New Hope, Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

  18. It’s the best film franchise in history and 1977 Star Wars was the first film I was allowed to see at the cinema with friends and NO parents – Happy Memories!

    Dislike what Star Wars has become under Kathleen Kennedy. Just think about, she’s been there 8 years: what NEW Intellectual Property has KK brought to the world since taking on one of the leading film industry companies?

    SW is now a nonsensical mess and has lost its “archaeology of the human spirit” as GL put it. What was, on first appearances, a simple story set in space had a much more profound significance to its legions of fans because of the depth and artistry behind it. SW was true popular art. It could never have had the success that it had if there was not something there behind the spectacle. Much has been of the Joseph Campbell connection, but that’s just the starting point.

    I have vowed to never spend another penny on Star Wars or Disney while KK is at the helm so I have not seen this film. If I don’t win I will wait until it’s free on television. I prefer hearing about the drama behind the scenes at Lucasfilm. A film about that IS something that I would pay to see.

  61. Because we were due to move into our new council house before lockdown – all of our possessions are boxed up besides the things we need every day. A new film would be nice as having no DVDs is boring especially being stuck indoors all the time

  90. May the Fourth be with you. Ha Ha. Did anybody see Lucasfilm twitter feed where they tried to copyright people’s tweets as Lucasfilm/Disney for May 4th? That phrase has been used by SW fans for decades and originates with the Conservative election campaign of 1979.

    Until the Force Awakens I saw EVERY Star Wars film (apart from the original) on the biggest/best screen available on opening showing: I’m including the Ewok movie and the Clone Wars animation. Until SOLO I saw every SW film on opening screening but not the best cinema; when to the local dive.

    The Rise of Skywalker is the first one that I haven’t seen in the cinema at all.

    The Rise of Skywalker = the rise of Palpatine.
    The Last Jedi is…? Not the last Jedi?
    The Force Awakens: didn’t know the Force could ever go to sleep.

    Nonsensical nostalgia bait. I’ll watch the Rise of Skywalker, eventually but I’m not paying Lucasfilm to do so. Hence my entry here. As I’m typing this I’m watching The Rise of Skywalker is an embarrassment by Jay Exci on youtube (not for children).

  115. My husband and son are huge Star Wars fans and in December we went to see this whilst on holiday in Florida for my son’s 6th birthday. It was his first trip to the cinema and he was blown away and is now obsessed with Star wars like his Dad. I would love to cheer them both up and remind them of better times!
