After being teased by the official Spider-Man Into the Spider-Verse twitter account yesterday to expect some news soon….today we finally got the news that the sequel to the hugely well received animated film with fans and critics alike, will arrive in cinemas April 2022.
Sony is quite literally building an entire franchise off the back of the first Spider-Verse film, with plans for an animated tv series as well as a Spider-Gwen spin-off film all in the works and whilst it does seem like a very long time to wait, as an animated film that blends so many different animation styles together, it would naturally take that long to piece together a worthy sequel.
