Today is a big day for fans of ‘The Witcher’ book series as Netflix launched the official social media channels for their new series as well as releasing some new images of the main characters with Geralt played by Henry Cavill, Yennefer played by Anya Cholatra and Ciri played by Freya Allan, kicking things off with a full teaser poster:
I have to admit, I am liking these first images we have and it is very clear going by the fact that Geralt is pictured using only a single sword, that the creators are keeping to the books rather than the video game series which has Geralt using two swords in the games, a steel sword for humans and a silver sword for monsters. I am also a fan of the shows logo:
Currently we do not know when the show will air on Netflix but we do know that Netflix is bringing the show and cast to San Diego Comic Con this July with a Panel in the iconic Hall H no less which will be moderated by host and actress Yvette Nicole Brown with the panel to include cast members Cavill, Chalotra, and Allan alongside showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich.
