The educational app, Hey Duggee: The Counting Badge, has won a 2019 Kidscreen Award for ‘Best Branded Learning App’ in the ‘Digital – Preschool’ category.

Hey Duggee: The Counting Badge is based upon the popular animated children’s television series, Hey Duggee (with the narration voiced by Alexander Armstrong).

Designed with Early Years Foundation Stage learning outcomes at its core, the app features a diverse mix of engaging counting tasks and automatically adjusted difficulty levels to help children of young ages learn and enjoy numeracy.

Hey Duggee is created by Scary Beasties, a BAFTA award-winning digital agency, in association with BBC Studios and Studio AKA, a multi-BAFTA winning, EMMY awarded & Oscar-nominated independent animation studio.

Hey Duggee: The Counting Badge is available on GooglePlayAmazon, the Apple AppStore and retails at £2.99.

Peter Hickman, BBC Studios Producer for Children’s and Drama said, “Hey Duggee goes from strength to strength, not just on TV, but in the highly competitive world of children’s apps. I’m over the moon.”
