Here is our review of the Britax Romer DUALFIX i-SIZE Car Seat.

DUALFIX i-SIZE is the most flexible option for your child – from birth to 4 years (105 cm). The seat with 360 degree rotation offers ultimate comfort for parents and children and can be used rearward facing as well as forward facing. Plus, thanks to the lateral rotation to the open car door, placing and harnessing your child is child’s play. All combined with a stylish and modern design and our expertise in child car safety – for your peace of mind on any journey.

A Closer Look

Fitting the Car Seat

The DUALFIX i-SIZE comes with some ISOFIX insert guides to make it easier for fitting into your car, which only takes a few moments.

Britax also provide a number of videos on their website detailing fitting, including this one:

Final Thoughts

The DUALFIX i-SIZE is available in Cosmos Black, Flame Red, Storm Grey, Olive Green, Moonlight Blue, Wine Rose, Blue Marble, Sand Marble and Mystic Black.

The DUALFIX i-SIZE car seat is designed for babies and children from birth to 4 years old, so you will get a few years use out of it!

I found fitting the seat into the car very simple and easy – it only took a few moments. One of the great things about all of the Britax car seats we had tried over the years is that they are very easy to fit and remove. The support leg is easy to set up too and really gives you that added feeling of the seat being safe and securely in place.

To ensure that the DUALFIX i-SIZE will work with your car, Britax have a list of cars and their various models so you can easily tell if the seat is compatible. It is worth checking this out before you purchase the seat.

The integrated 5-point harness was easy to use and adjust and there are soft neoprene chest pads to make it comfortable for your child. The V shaped headrest gives additional side impact protection in the case of a side impact collision. The rebound bar also gives the seat some additional protection by ensuring that the seat will not tilt in an impact. All things you hope you never ever experience but it’s good to have that knowledge that your child is as protected as they can be.

The seat can also recline into twelve (yes twelve) different positions, plus forward and rear facing positions, ensuring a more comfortable journey. There is even a laying flat position for new borns too!

The seat cover can easily be removed and washed if (or rather when) needed.

The seat itself can be rotated 360 degrees making it very easy to get your child in and out of the seat no matter what the position you have it set at.

I can highly recommend the DUALFIX i-SIZE if you want a high quality, safe and secure car seat that is very easy to fit and is one that you can get around 4 years of use out of. Britax have yet another winner on their hands!

The DUALFIX i-SIZE is available now priced around £430, but as usual look around for the best deal.
