Beginning today (3rd Feb) and lasting until 5th Feb, a special Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 beta is available for PC players on Steam. Players can still register (till the end of day) at http://sniperghostwarrior3.com/beta and get exclusive access to two single-player missions in the beautiful open-world setting of the Republic of Georgia: Cut Off and Blockout.
“We’d like to give everyone who registered for the beta a big THANK YOU. You have to throw away everything you know about the series, since Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 is a redefinition of the franchise developed from scratch and with a much-higher budget,” said Marek Tymiński, CEO of CI Games. “This beta includes two single-player missions from the beginning of the game, and is just a glimpse of what you’ll experience in the full open-world game. Every bit of feedback you give is invaluable to us, and we’ll listen closely to all comments. We’re committed to making Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 one of the best games you’ll play this year, and will do everything we can to meet your expectations. It’s a real treat to know the game will soon be played by so many of our fans.”

Cut Off The Separatists control a large antenna array, which lets them use satellites to track enemy movements and communicate with distant outposts. Jon needs to infiltrate this compound and manually reposition the dishes to intercept the satellite signal. Gaining access to enemy communications would give Jon and his team a tactical advantage over the enemy, as well as possible intelligence on his brother, Robert.

Blockout Jon’s cooperation with the local resistance, the Rotki Lions, gave him the location of one of the targets from his Most Wanted list – a list containing the names of war criminals that Jon can neutralize to bring justice to the people of Georgia. The target is Ivan Krustchev. He’s hiding out in an abandoned apartment complex, surrounded by his guards. How will you complete this mission? Will you use your sniper rifle from the opposite building, storm the outpost with your assault rifle, or sneak past the guards and quietly take out your target?

Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 launches on the PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One on 4th April.

  1. Hey so have you guys played the beta tests? Did you like it? I was impressed with the AI in the game. The enemies were very good for a normal mode at least

    • Oh yeah the game was very demanding. You had to do recon and try to eliminate a few guys without raising suspicion but for me it turned out to be harder than I thought it would be

      • I get you man! Did you make use of the utility you were given or acted just like I did -just started sniping without any recon??

        • if play sniper/ghost style, a good reconnaisance is keypont for further acting, and for this task drone is perfect ! It was a good idea to give us possibility of using drone for recon (but not only!) tasks.

        • At first I thought that the drone wasn’t a necessary tool but shortly I’ve found that I was wrong. If it wasn’t for the drone I’d have loads of problems with finishing both missions

    • I liked the beta a lot but I wouldn’t say that it has been very hard. If you planned all your moves ahead you didn’t get to much trouble from the enemies

      • Well if you started using the drone from the beginning it must have been much easier. At first I didn’t care about it because I just couldn’t wait to snipe someone 🙂

        • Haha I hear you man. As it turned out the drone was a must have item in both missions. The recon would take you to much time if it wasn’t for the drone

    • I did and I enjoyed it very much. I think SGW3 might one of the mostinteresting FPS in 2017 and one of the best in history. I can’t wat until April.

      • That’s right! Have you played SE4? The game is getting good reviews but for me it seams like they haven’t implemented ANYTHING new. I was a bit disappointed with the game

        • I played SE4. I liked it, but in my opinion this is exactly the same game. It’s like previous parts with better graphics, that’s all.

          • I think that SGW3 will simply crush SE4. SGW3 has much more good ideas, better graphic, and surely more challenging AI

            • I agree. I think that the new mechanics introduced in SGW 3 will make this game one of a kind. I hope to have some fun with this game

    • AI was really good. I Don’t know I was thinking that was a normal difficulty on beta. And I’m glad I was wrong. because this might be too much difficulty for normal mode. I saw, I played, and preordered this game

      • Haha yeah! At first I was like: there’s only normal difficulty available, whatttt? but than I was glad that it was the only difficulty 😛

        • Maybe if it was easier, I could play this beta as a Warrior, but then I couldn’t use drone or think about next move, because it could be easy for me. Still, Wait for release date.

      • Well, I tried to fight few guys i warrior style at one time and I’ve failed. I guess that’s why this is SNIPER Ghost Warrior 3 🙂

  2. I think that it has been an awesome idea to include the drone in SGW 3. This was my go too tool before attacking the enemy. Thanks to that it was much easier to plan all your steps

    • And it’s good you can switch off marking the enemies. More experienced players may like to play it this way – it’s more surprising.

      • I used this option to switch off this markings . but after few minutes, switched on again. In medium difficulty maybe for me was too difficult to play.

        • You know you were playing this game first time for couple hours – no surprise it was too difficult for you.

      • Oh yeah that’s an awesome add-on. I will definitely try to play the game without the drone marking the enemies. If it’ll be to hard I’ll turn this on

  3. I liked that beta. I hoped, that this will be a longer period than a weekend. CI Games gaved also one day extra, but its still not too much. But im happy, that i could test this game.

  4. After testing SGW3 I checked one more time if it’s the same series. I can’t believe it! It’s so much better than previous parts.

    • That’s true, SGW was nice, but the second part was just… terrible. But after plaing SGW3 open beta, I’m full of good thoughts. It might be one of most interesting games of the year

      • Well, SGW2 wasn’t very good, but I enoyed it. The worst thing in this game was that’s was so short and too easy. SGW3 won’t be like it.

        • Oh, I’m sure it woldn’t be. Open world gives a lot of capabilites, and I’m sure that CIG will give us a whole bunch of secondary tasks/quests

  5. Good job CIG! Finally we got sniping game with open world ! And this world has a really good graphics and challenging AI. Can’t wait for full version of SGW3

  6. This beta showed how much work and effort CIG puts into this titile. Im glad that i was bet tester. I could patiently testing my strategy and praticing shooting to moving target.

    • I was disappointed by SE4 and now I hope to find enjoyment in SGW3 🙂 It’s more realistic and it has some story line, SE4 is just killing and it’s pretty the same game.

      • In my opinion, the whole Sniper Elite series was boring and kind of predictable, in SGW3 you will have much more possibilietes to choose your way to finish mission

      • After playing SE 3, SEv2 and NZA i though, that SE4 will be something better than caopy-paste+new_textures. But i was wrong. Its still that same game. Only bigger levels. Maybe in SE5 that wil change something.
