God Eater 2 Rage Burst takes place 3 years after the events of the original title. There are a few key changes that make it different from the original. For instance, it is now possible to gain bonuses by fulfilling combat objectives. This should add some depth to the combat mechanics and replay value given the incentive of coming back to missions to fulfil all objectives. The title also has connections to the first title that will possibly surprise anyone who has played the original.
In terms of visuals, this sequel looks similar to a Tales of title with the added bonus of enemies that wouldn’t look out of place in an Attack on Titan episode.
There is the promise of over one hundred hours of gameplay. Anyone that pre-orders the game will also get access to costumes from Tales of Zestiria, Tokyo Ghoul and Sword Art Online Hollow Realization. Not only that, but the game also comes with all the patches and other downloadable content previously available on the Japanese version.
In addition, anyone that purchases God Eater 2 Rage Burst will get a free copy of God Eater Resurrection. This seems like the perfect opportunity to get into the God Eater series with a release date set for 30th August 2016 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita and PC.
