Last month saw the launch of Battle of Shadow and Light, the first free Halo 5: Guardians content update, bringing with it new REQs and Big Team Battle. This week, the next free update – Cartographer’s Gift – brings Forge Mode and a host of new weapons, armour sets, assassinations, Warzone and Arena maps, and much more.

Since the introduction of Forge in Halo 3, the community has been creating, sharing, and pushing the mode to its limits. The new Forge was built with years of community feedback in mind, and arrives just in time for Christmas.

The Cartographer’s Gift update also provides a whole host of additional new content to Halo 5: Guardians including the classic M41 “SPNKr” Rocket Launcher, and MARK IV [GEN 1] armour set REQs which will become available for you to collect, along with four new maps – the Warzone map “The Battle of Noctus,” Arena map “Overgrowth,” and Big Team Battle maps “Antifreeze,” and “Entombed” – which will be added to the Halo 5: Guardians multiplayer experience.

Once it’s available this week, Cartographer’s Gift will automatically download and install for all Halo 5: Guardians players.
