With Honor just announcing just the other week in London the Honor 7, we thought about reviewing the Honor 6 Plus which was launched earlier this years at CES.
What you get in the box, phone, charger, micro USB and two screen protectors
Here is the brief review about this phone:
•Design: with medium quality material, the design of this phone is literally not attractive. And it’s not the featured points of this device. For users who do not value the phone’s outlook, this point shall not matter anyway.

2G, 3G, 4G are all supported; it also comes with option of Dual Sim. If you even need to use an extra SIM, micro SD slot (upto 128 shall be the place as it doubles. Generally, connectivity quality matches industry standard.
The screen size on Honor 6 Plus is 5.5 inch, full HD 1080p display with resolution of 401 ppi. Thus, the display being delivered to users is good with sharp text, lively colors and fine viewing angles. This device is also shipped with Emotion UI 3.0 software by Huawei’s in house UI section. But it seems like there have been some improvements added to the newly updated version.
HiSilicon Kirin – the Huawei’s home baked chipset is always featured in every Huawei’s phone lines. In Honor 6 Plus, the chipset is HiSilicon Kirin 925 featuring: Cortex A-15 Quad core 1.8 GHz process and Cortex A-7 Quad core 1.3 GHz processor. Sounds quite promising but we will just know it really works against MediaTek and Snapdragon later on. The Operating System to be shipped with this device is Android 4.4.2 Kitkat and soon to be upgraded into Lollipop 5.0.
The Honor 6 Plus has 32GB built-in memory, both support up to 128 GB external memory. 3GB Ram is equipped for both versions.
If user ever needs to use another SIM, they can put it in the slot of SD card. Generally, this strong capacity of the device’s memory part is an attractive point to the users who value performance for their smart phone.
We have seen the Dual camera in HTC One M8, and now, we meet again this camera type in the Honor 6 Plus, this time, resolution is 8 Mega pixel. A brief description for those who have not been familiar with the term “dual camera”: 1 camera sensor performs as the main cam, the other sensor performs as the depth sensor.

Along with dual camera is the dual LED flash. A great news for selfie-lovers is even the sensor of the sefie cam front camera is also 8MP. Moreover, both front and back cameras can capture 1080p video, at 30 frame-per-second shot.
Thus, camera performance is also a strong plus for the Honor 6 Plus.
•Battery: It is claimed that battery being featured in Honor 6 Plus is 3600 mAh – pretty strong. This battery power can easily last for more than 1 day usage. And for those who are conservative, the phone can last even more.
•Others: Nowadays, smart phone users are getting more and more familiar and favour in FM radio and IR port features, which makes them become compulsory features in smartphones.
The Honor 6 Plus is available in the UK from Three sim free for £299.99.
