iFit Active is your constant fitness companion, providing insights, support and inspiration for a healthier more active lifestyle. The iFit works around the clock every single day to track your calories, activity, and sleep, providing you real-time stats right on your wrist.
We have a sample of the device coming into review very soon, we are going to put the iFit through its paces.
A personal trainer in your pocket
Your net calorie total is presented in actual time on the LED display, so you’ll know if you’re burning and consuming calories in a healthy, harmful, or weight loss range, keeping you on track with your fitness goals at all times. iFit then uses your net calorie information to suggest individually customised workouts to help you reach your daily goals.
iFit is a revolutionary fitness app, powered by Google Maps, that enables you to create your own routes, track all your workouts, and choose from hundreds of exclusive training programmes. iFit Track is a free app that syncs with the iFit Active.
iFit Active helps you get a good night’s sleep
Almost half of UK adults don’t get enough sleep – 47% of Brits get less than six hours of sleep a night. 30 minutes a day sleep debt can have significant effects on obesity and insulin resistance. The iFit Active enables you to monitor your pillow time and sleep patterns to make sure you’re getting a healthy amount of sleep each night. iFit Active detects and tracks your sleep time, deep sleep, light sleep and awake time and can wake you with a silent alarm at the ideal time each morning.
iFit Active keeps you moving
Those who spend the greatest time sedentary see a 147% increase in the risk of cardiovascular events. 45% of women and 37% of men spend less than 30 minutes a day up on their feet at work and it is estimated that around 5.2lb can be lost by standing up for an extra 30 minutes a day for a year. iFit Active sends you alerts throughout the day, like when it’s time to get up and move around – for example, if you’ve been sedentary at your desk for 45 minutes.
You can wear the water-resistant iFit Active as a wristband, clip it on your clothes, or carry it in your pocket all day and night for a personal calorie counter, fitness tracker and motivator – all in one. The Active automatically detects and tracks your movements and sleep patterns.
- Fitness goals: Set activity goals for your steps, distance, and calories burned. By setting specific goals, you have something to work for every day. iFit will alert you of your progress, when you achieve your goals, and when you hit a personal best. You’ll constantly feel motivated to push harder and do better.
- Nutrition: iFit automatically calculates a net calories score for you, showing the difference between your calorie intake and calorie burn. When you’re on the go, use the Active Tracker to quickly log calories. You’ll also have access to iFit’s library of over 50,000 food items and recipes and can log food items using the built-in barcode scanner in the iFit Track app.
- Sleep: iFit Active detects and tracks your sleep time, deep sleep, light sleep and awake time.
- Stay motivated: write messages to your friends and family in-app and they’ll get it direct to their tracker and spark friendly rivalries and see how your stats stack up. You can receive messages on your tracker or view them in-app.
iFit Active works together with the iFit Track app to track your everyday activity, nutrition and sleep. Also, if you have iFit-ready home gym equipment from ProForm or Nor, iFit Active will automatically create a workout for you to complete on your equipment each day. All your stats automatically save to the iFit platform, so you can access your data from anywhere.
Available now: The iFit Active retails at £99, with additional coloured bands and clips retailing at £24.99. Available at http://www.nordictrack.co.uk/ifit-active.html.
