With only a week away from the release of Disney Infinity 2.0: Marvel Super Heroes in Europe and the UK. Disney Infinity 2.0 when it drops on 18th September in Europe and the 19th in the UK, for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Wii U, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Nintendo 3DS.
The openness of the new sequel, combined with the appeal of multiple Marvel universes (including the Avengers and Spider-Man playsets), will no doubt be a huge draw. And with the huge box office success of Guardians of the Galaxy, that package is set to make a huge dent as well.
According to a new report from Variety, the Rocket Raccoon stand alone figure is already selling nearly twice as much as last year’s most popular characters, and Groot isn’t far behind in the number three slot, alongside Venom.
In addition, Disney has confirmed two more standalone characters for the game. Yondu, the intergalactic bounty hunter played by Michael Rooker in the film, will be playable later this year, while Falcon, Captain America’s flying buddy in The Winter Soldier, will be released in early 2015.
