Yesterday at the Microsoft Build conference, Nokia announced the Lumia 930 beautifully blends the best of Microsoft and Lumia with a collection of features readymade for the needs of today’s forward-thinking smartphone owner.

Super sharp shooter

Leading the way once again in smartphone photographic technology, the Nokia Lumia 930 sports a 20-megapixel PureView camera, optical image stabilization (OIS) and ZEISS optics to achieve pin-sharp shots and the flexibility to zoom into any shot after you’ve taken it. A HD 1.2 MP wide-angle camera adorns the front.

Lumia930Range-in-line

The Nokia Lumia 930 also possesses unrivalled HD video skills with four high-performance microphones. This crafty quad allows directional recording, which enhances the clarity of your subjects by rejecting the sounds outside the direction of capture. Thanks to the surround sound capture, you can also hear the world around you like never before.

To help counteract shaky hand with the in-built OIS and use the single-finger zoom feature to get even closer to the action without compromising resolution.

Add to this Nokia Rich Recording, surround sound and ZEISS optics and you’ve got a truly potent hardware and software partnership.

Bright idea

When you’re done capturing your life moments, play it all back on the 5-inch, 1080p Full HD display (1920×1080; 441ppi), with Gorilla Glass 3, Super Sensitive Touch and a near 180-degree viewing angle for watching your content anywhere from bright sunny beaches to dimly lit hotel foyers.

Integrated Dolby Surround Sound also makes for a similarly rich audio experience when watching movies or listening to music with your headphones or home theatre system.

Power up

Powering everything along is a speedy 2.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 32GB of internal storage (7GB free OneDrive cloud storage) and 2GB of RAM, all of which make video processing, image capture and Xbox gaming seem like child’s play.

Daring design

The Nokia Lumia range of smartphones – is how all of this remarkable technology is wrapped up in an aesthetic package with just as much innovation and design excellence.

Standing apart from all that dare to get close, the Nokia Lumia 930 blends the striking good looks of recent Lumia devices with an elegant and unique design all of its own; gorgeous aluminium frame, metallic accents, and a nicely curved polycarbonate back with vibrant colour choices of bright orange, bright green, black and white.

To keep it (and you) going all day is the 2420 mAh battery. Built-in wireless charging adds convenience without compromising on design.

Great service

As well as providing the best of Nokia Lumia, this truly versatile smartphone also delivers the cream of the Microsoft software crop, coming out-of-the-box with Windows Phone 8.1 that brings with it myriad of enhancements, such as Action Centre, a refreshed start screen experience and new data and battery sense apps.

Nokia Lumia 930 with Windows Phone 8.1 lets you connect to your favourite people, events, music and photos from anywhere by providing a better experience of OneDrive, MS Office, Nokia Camera, MixRadio and HERE Maps. With OneDrive, you can save your images and videos immediately and sync them across your Lumia, PC, Tablet and Xbox.

The popular Fatboy wireless charging pillow will also have a new colour. Now you can charge your Nokia Lumia 930 wirelessly with the bright green pillow.

The Nokia Lumia 930 is priced at $599 before taxes and subsidies. It will be available from June beginning in Europe, Asia, India, Middle East and Latin America, and will continue to rollout throughout the world (except the US) throughout the summer.
