Looks like Microsoft is going full charge for the release of the new Titanfall, and it’s doing so by making it the first Xbox One title to have pre load and pre purchase functionality.
Here is what is written on the Xbox Games Store website: (link which has now been taken down)
“Pre-purchase: You will be charged the full price immediately for this pre-purchase. Xbox One game expected to release on March 11th, 2014. You may download the game from Xbox Live before then, but it will not be playable until after 12:01 AM PST on the release date in your country.”
Normally with Xbox One games are only available for download digitally on the day of release. But for Titanfall, the game will be made available for download sometime before its March 11 release date. The Xbox Games Store also reveals the download size of the game at 15.88 GB.
It is a smart move from Microsoft’s part as I’m sure many Xbox One players will want to get into the game as quickly as possible.
