Final Fantasy XIII Demo lands on Xbox 360 and PS3

Today Square Enix in Europe and PAL territories, announced that a playable demo for LIGHTNING RETURNS: FINAL FANTASY XIII is now available for download on the Xbox 360 and available from tomorrow for the PlayStation 3.

The 1.14GB download is available today to those with an Xbox Live Gold subscription. Xbox Live Silver people – you’ll have to wait until next Tuesday.

The demo to the exciting conclusion of the FINAL FANTASY XIII trilogy; puts players in control of Lightning as she traverses the chaos-infested Yusnaan palace of her old ally, Snow. Customise Lightning’s style in both appearance and abilities, with many weapons, outfits and roles based on different jobs from the FINAL FANTASY series. Jump between three different styles in each battle and master the completely overhauled battle system.

By playing the demo and activating the social-networking Outerworld service, players that submit their battle scores of the final fight against Zaltys can unlock the ‘Siegfried’ outfit in the full retail game. Outerworld allows you to swap comments, gift items and post pictures taken in the game via the dedicated online network and through social networking sites.

The Xbox 360 demo will be available on 21 January for Xbox Live Gold members and on 28 January for Xbox Live Silver members.

LIGHTNING RETURNS: FINAL FANTASY XIII is released in Europe and PAL territories on 14th February, 2014 for the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360.
